When someone says their shape is fabulous on here what does that mean ? Have seen slim women and larger women describing themselves as fabulous. What do you understand it to mean ? |

I means whatever you want it to mean for you.
For others, means what they want it to mean.
It's only a word. The interpretation is as individual as the person using it. |

Does it matter? I put fabulous because that was the next one after ample (or large) not sure which it is, because I'm a fat bird, but also fabulous daaarrrrrling |

"Partial to bread" wasn't an option.
I used to have curvy but then some said I was too large for that.... then average I don't get, what defines average nowadays?
Fabulous just seemed a good middle ground for me.

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else |
I use it for two reasons.
1. I'm not "curvy" and I'm probably not "average", so short on sensible options
2. A bit of body positivity offsets all the self-deprecation that generally features heavily in my personality
I've generally had pics that enable anyone interested to judge for themselves, though. |

I raised a question about this in the site feedback section.
Some of us may remember in the late 80's that there was a trend within fashion circles to describe the larger Lady as 'Fabulous' - what we now refer to as BBW I guess. This was all about raising self esteem etc.
I therefore take 'Fabulous' to mean 'on the larger side'
Some of our younger members, who are unfamiliar with this, may interpret 'Fabulous' to mean fit, hot, perfect 10 etc.
With this huge disparity I suspect that many people may be getting overlooked due to a lack of clear understanding as to what it means.
I guess the best way of knowing what it means on fab is where in the list of options it comes when setting up ones profile. If you look you'll find that 'Curvy' is followed by 'Ample' which is followed by 'Large' and finally 'Fabulous' so I guess the clues are all there |

"I think I'm fabulous, so that's what I put. To me it means "look at my pics and decide that way whether you want to meet me." "
It's certainly a lot easier to tell what the owner of the profile means by fabulous when they have pictures on their profile.
It's the one's who don't have pictures who make it more of a challenge |
