"So, getting them pierced and then heading to GC and the nudist beach a week later isn't a great idea?"
Definitely not a good idea. BUT it's up to you. When I had mine pierced I kept it covered for a couple of weeks. It's a very painful place initially for a piercing xxxxx Suzi |

I've had mine done twice, each time they pretty much healed in about 4 months or so but I wouldn't get them done immediately before a beach holiday .... there's the risk of sunburn, the risk of the raw wound being irritated by sun cream or grains of sand maybe too. |

Don't do it before your holiday and yes indeed dont take it out because you can't get it back in - I took mine out after it was effectively partly punched into me playing rugby ( as painful as you'd imagine and I had to have it literally RIPPED out as my breast tissue had swollen so it kept popping back inside. ( it was a bar piercing)
Pot luck as to when you'll heal - don't chance it |

"If you do get it done, don't take it out! I'd had mine done over a year and took it out for a few hours and couldn't get it back in. I was gutted!"
The same for me ! Took it out for a MRI scan and couldn't get it back in |

I have both mine done. Piercer said they take 6 months to a year to heal. Mine were healed in about 5 months. Well one was the other took a bit longer.
Would hold off til after holiday. I got mine done on holiday and couldn't go swimming on the last day |

This happened to Sienna after 7-8 months.
It never healed and kept getting caught and banged and would occasionally bleed.
If we are honest, yes it looked good but was a hindrance and ment one of her boobs was out of action for 8 months.
Off topic but the same occured a few years later with a clit piercing. It never healed and after 9 months Sienna removed it as was still sore and limited our sex lives. |

You'll want to wait at least three weeks or so before going in a swimming pool or the sea after having it done. More if it doesn't settle down. I wouldn't get it done just before you go on holiday. |

"Wanting to get this done, but travelling to sunny climates a week later, how long does it take to heal? Any advice?"
This really depends on the individual, I tend to heal quickly or my pain threshold is squiffy. Mine was good after about 3 weeks but if I snagged it on something it would still hurt about 6 'months later. Different piercings take longer but really it's body dependant. Also post care is important with any piercing, I had to dangle my thingy in warm salty water for about a month but it does help the healing.
Only you know your body well enough to know when it's ready. But I'd say longer you can resist playing too much with it the better |

I had one and loved it but it kept weeping so took it out on gp's advice. But I so loved it I did it a second time but washed it everyday in saline for 3 months and had no problems. But the same as others, I took out for an operation and it healed over in 24 hours. I would agree do it after the holiday. |

yeah do it after the hols. but then the sun and chlorine in the pool will help it.
mine took what felt like ages well 4 months i think, but one day o slid in a sliding patio door only to catch the bar... I know i know, yes it did hurt. but a week later it was fixed no more weeping or saline or salt |

I (mr) had a nipple piercing a few years ago..was easy for me after a few weeks to take out and put back in or cage from bar to ring. Just make sure it's cleaned regularly I used salt water and bathed it several times a day inittially.
Biggest issue I had was at work being in a physical position at the time and lifting and carrying things kept catching it and nearly tore it out a couple of times...it makes the nipple wonderfully sensative though. |

I (the Mrs) have had my nipple done for over a year, it's still not quite 100% healed. Every now & then it gets sensitive.
Probably doesn't help because every time I shower I almost remove my nipple with my loofah!! Get your nipple done... avoid loofahs!
I didn't suffer with any major pain or discomfort with mine. To be honest the fresh air on holiday may do it some good! ???? |

You can get them done and as long as they are kept clean and you don't have them pulled on they should be fine, healing is different for everyone but within 6 weeks you can. Change the initial piercing and replace with something better. |

Got mine done a while ago now. After I got over the initial shock, half an hour later I was fine.
Took about 4 weeks before I took it out and changed over to a decent hoop.
Clean it regularly and have had no issues and that is approx 10 years |
