Hi there, looking for a bit of advice, we are thinking of taking a little trip to the mainland (lol)later on in the year to check out one of the swinging clubs as Ireland has little to offer in that area but a bit unsure as where to go, we have never been to a club before. Where would be the best for first timers? Nylonsxx |

Depends where you want to stay whilst over here.
The N West has some good ones, plus its close to N Ireland(via Fleetwood or Heysham IIRC)
Have a look at the club reviews section here, that may give you some hints.

It really depends where you are going in Britain. Most clubs are really welcoming to newbies, give them a tour, ect.
If i had to choose, without knowing you, i would suggest somewhere small,it will be less intimidating. The townhouse(wirral) is nice and even has newbie nights. Our local, clubf (county Durham)is alo very newbie friendly, and i would how you round

There 2 types of "club"
a wet club, that has a spa/pool/sauna such as Ab Fab's in London, or a night club type club such as The F Club in London.
Some clubs attract a younger crowd on certain nights, and then older crowds on other nights.
Some clubs attract only a older crowd.
Most clubs are based in old pubs, warehouses etc, so are not really that classy. It depends on who you are as people and what your looking for and happy playing in.
Compared to the continent (Holland, Belgium, Italy, France etc) the standard of UK clubs are rather poor in comparison.
Use the clubs section to your advantage - perhaps tell us more about you, and what you looking to find. |

thanks guys well we are up for trying most things really lol , but i think to begin with would like to go to a night that wasn't too intimidating or anything, as in if you didn't want to take part in anything you didn't have to , though saying that I'm sure once we relax a bit we would be more than curious lol. |

Miss has sometimes had to remind males of couples about that rule - they do tend to get a bit touchy feely.. she goes for the balls, either by grabbing, or with s swift knee - then has a stern word.. dont mess! ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

All clubs have newbies.. there is no pressure to do anything you dont want to do. Most couples just play alone to start with, providing their comfortable.
Stick to couples and single girl nights for your first thou. Single guys can be a bit forward and annoying if they are not what you want, especially when they go around in groups. Sometimes just leering across a room is a put off in itself.
Do what feels comfortable in the surroundings your in.. no means no - sometimes you have to remind people of that fact. Many think cos your at a swingers club, you have to standards and are fair game to all.. ![](/icons/s/rolleyes.gif) |

Jump on a Ryanair flight and fly over the UK and go Holland or France. Less seedy, more natural, higher standards and an all round better environment in which to dip your toes. |

The Clubs in Holland, Belgium and France do have several amazing venues, the best being in the Netherlands, but all of these countries do have their fare share of shitty venues too
(There's over 200 Clubs in France alone)
Most of the decent venues in Europe will normally cost between 60 to 100 Euros to get in, sometimes this will include food and drink (Common in Holland, more rare in France)
To give you an idea of a long weekend in Netherlands, when we went to two clubs, it cost us the following:
Two return flights to Schiphol Amsterdam Airport: 180 Euros
Three nights stay at three different hotels 200 Euros
Trains from Airport and returns to Gouda 70 Euros
Two Lunches and one dinner (Not at the clubs) 100 Euros
Taxi’s to and from both clubs 90 Euros
Entrance to both clubs 215 Euros
Total cost of trip 755 Euros or around £700
(Excluding some little extras we brought)
All the costs above were for two people inclusive. It is worth pointing out that if you visited just the one venue, and stayed one night less extra your trip would be around 600 Euros. The exchange rates of course can vary in the extreme to say the least.
