Believe it or not, I not only never ask for a face pic, I prefer not to have one. Why? because for me meeting was always all about the connection beforehand. Whether I'd chatted with a guy twice or for two months, somehow not knowing what he looked like added to the excitement and I got to know him a bit based on who he is, not on what he looks like.
There is also the fact that my brain can't turn 2D pics into a 3D image, so I rarely if ever have recognized anyone anywhere based on a picture (I'd be useless as a witness if police showed me a picture of a suspect).
I've sent out pics of myself on occasion, but many other times, we met completely blindly. To good result, too! 
No, pictures aren't essentials for everyone. |

I never ask for face pic and very rarely send them. But I meet in clubs so if they see me there and like what they see they can approach me there. They don't think I'm worth the effort then they don't come over. |

Yes we do meet without seeing face pics. We never send them out either. We always have a social anyway. Never been a problem for us and always worked out well. |

What changed your mind?
It's not my default but I've met for socials without seeing face pics - with people whose personality I liked. I don't think that's a big deal at all. And now that I think of it also once I went on a sex meet without having seen clear face pics, I guess I felt I had seen enough to make an informed decision! |

Had this with a couple this week. They were up for meeting that week and went silent when we asked for pics. Though the use of the word discrete and their dislike of the idea of being seen together in public probably answered any questions we may have had as to why

I've had a few blind meets. All were short notice. It was absolutely fine. No problem at all.
For me, if I'm meeting someone on fab then it's for sex. Having a pretty face has no baring on the quality of the sex and I'm looking for great sex. That doesn't mean I'll shag anything. But if I was going on the face then that would narrow my options to about 20 people on fab. None of whom live anywhere near me.
Pretty doesn't equate to sexy in my mind. Unless it's Asian or black women. But hey. Each to their own.

Yep most of our meetings are in clubs and we tend to meet people who are already going rather than attending specifically to meet us.
We would consider face pics if it was a one on one meet, but we'd prefer a quick Skype as face pics don't really mean that's the person you expect to meet.
We tend to
1. Check sexuality
2. Look at pics
3. See if they are verified
4. Read profile
After that if we think there is some one we would like to meet then
5. Send a message
We'd need to have a connection before sending face pics. Too many pic collectors out there. |
