I'm worried about catching something if I give oral
How risky is it? whats the worst that happen and is there anyway to reduce the risk but not let the lady down?
This single issue could mean I give up the whole idea of meets |

Check out the NHS website. That'll put your mind at rest.
Only way to be 100 percent safe is to not meet. But you and I know that sucks. (Or doesn't excuse the pun )
Some stats will surely follow my pointless post. |

I had a look at a few things that suggest it not as risky but I've got braces and worry that may increase my risk. Any cuts in your mouth multiply the risk of transmission and my braces to rub and occasionally make my inner cheeks sore.
I was hoping that if I'm careful to touch only clit with outstretched pointy tongue, no broad tongue lapping or tongue fucking, there would be less fluid exchange? So safer than for instance sucking the clit and labia and really getting personal? I don't slobber on a pussy anyway so... Dunno |

"If yr worried don't do it....
In my experience this anxiety often stems from sexual guilt...
It is relatively safe"
I'd say it stems from thinking women who are on a swinger site are diseased. Never met a man who doesn't want his cock sucked. Met some who won't give oral, just to be on the safe side. Seems to me their enjoyment factors in on the risk levels. |

"The worst that can happen? Her jaw muscles lock down and in a panic to pull away she bites your cock off. "
Nah, the worst that can happen is he contracts something and passes it to the unsuspecting wife... |

Far more damaging diseases than STIs are brushed aside every day with no worry. It is only the stigma of STI that makes people question the risk. Flu kills, on average 12,000 per annum in the UK, chhlamydia none. |

"Wait til your braces are out!
That may be the plan hoping by January.
How long have you had them on for? I wish dentists were like they are nowadays when I was young."
6 months give or take. After they are out I've 3 implants to have done too
Decided it was worth getting my teeth nice a bit later than other people. Will be worth it.
About flu and stats, yes valid point.
Funny stat I heard recently was that your odds of winning lottery are less than the chance of being run over and killed on the trip to the shop |

Thank goodness for some common sense .. |

Everything carries a risk. Up to you whether it's worth it or not. Braces may increase your chances of catching something, as does flossing before oral. Dental dams or a condom cut into a square may give you some protection. |

Most STIs are either curable or have vaccinations available. The most common deadly one is HIV. According to the people at the STI clinic I use, the risk of contracting HIV from oral sex is much about the same as from penetrative sex. This is based on “mechanics” – how the virus goes about infecting people. It’s virtually impossible to get reliable stats; you don’t see people at clubs taking notes and doing follow-ups!
There’s a pill called “Truvada”. The two drugs in it kill all viruses circulating in the blood, but not those that manage to get into hiding places - niches – ready to emerge and cause havoc in the future. If you take one pill on the day before, one on the day, and one on the day after, you stand a good chance of killing the HIV viruses on entry, before they can get to the niches. But the pills cost £400 for 30 in this country. I get mine from a registered pharmacy in Bangkok for only about £34 – it doesn’t make sense!

No, I would dispute that, all the data I have seen suggests it is much lower. But, it is still present, and it bothers me too. The other thing you could do OP is specify no oral, or no oral on a first meet - save it for regulars only. I have done that once or twice, so if I don't want to see someone again I have taken virtually zero risk finding that out.
Women who far prefer oral might tell you to fuck off of course, lol, but women like me who far prefer penetration might be up for that. |

That's interesting about Truvada. Can you pm a link to where you them?
Frisky, that's where I'm at with it now, it's something for regular buddies not new people.
I can more than make up for it in other ways so not end of world |

How long is the sell by date on these pills?? It takes about ten years to get a date on here. I'm just worried they will go out of date like the condom in my wallet from 1986

Exactly, and anyone who is interested in forming an ongoing friendship with you (or anyone) as a person should agree I would have thought. |

Plenty of women aren't into oral. You just need to find them. |

I'd be happy with monogamy!
I remember watching that first AIDS 'tombstone' campaign with my ex and saying I'm so glad I'm not 'out there' anymore!!
In my youth we were all on the pill and no-one used condoms and only 'skanky' people got 'VD'!!
Oh how the world changes... |

No. You've blocked messages from men.
My source is the pharmacy on Sukhumvit between Soi 17 and Soi 19. The chemist's name on the label is in Thai, which I can't read, but it's past Asia Books and before Robinsons.
Your local STI clinic may be able to put you in touch with a London clinic which will sell you 30 tabs for £400 via a "workshop".
I failed to buy Truvada on line, because I was not happy that the suppliers would send me genuine pills. |
