Hi all, having read many ladies profiles, I often read that 'one liners' will be ignored. Also when I read the advice here on the forum, many people advise not to use them. That's great because there not my thing either. The only problem is that many advise guys to try and stand out from the crowd due to the large volume of guys on here. The only thing is, is that when a lady looks down here message list all she has to read and choose who's message she opens is a small message that has been written in the 'subject' part of a writers message. Therefore to catch her attention are we not writing a "one liner" ?? |

I hate one liners especially if they are "how are you?" I've got on my profile, that if they can't make an effort in messaging, I don't see why I should and it gets deleted. If it catches my eye, I may reply, but it does depend on how well they word it.
I really think that an opening message says a lot about the sender |

We use a word in our profile to make sure its read.
As for a one liner....it depends, if it makes us smile we will check out a profile.
Cock shots in a message - no
A profile full of cock shots - no
A profile with no effort on it - no
Ultimately put some effort into it and you get more out. Its how things always work |

My advice would be 'don't listen to or take heed of any advice'
Do your own thing..
Be unique
DO NOT follow the road most travelled!!
That is how you stand out from the crowd |

OP it is surprising how much you can tell about a message just from the preview line - it is not like reading one-liners at all.
You can easily see when the entirety of the message ends in that preview line - the utterly pointless "how are you" / "plans for the weekend" messages, the "hi we are John and Mary" (really knowing your name adds nothing to our connection at this stage?!), the "wanna skype/cam" messages, the copy-paste compliments, the sleazy proposals. These are the one-liners people are advised to avoid as an opening message!
"Can't beat a funny one liner x "
Especially coming from a filled-in profile! |
