Apart from the obvious blocking and/or reporting how do you all deal with nasty messages? Do you retaliate or ignore?

Just continue to block and report. Said offender will soon get bored when you refuse to even acknowledge them.

I'm currently messaging back and forth with one. Quite enjoying myself actually. Strangely for somebody who finds overweight people so repulsive he's looked at our profile about 8 times today already!  |

I always report and block .
Hate it as they tell people In my area bad things about me as well . Never even met them .
Just ignore them and they will get bored hopefully |

There was a couple down the south west somewhere a year ago who totally cracked up , set up loads of fake profiles and started bombarding everyone they'd ever spoken to with abusive messages. They got reported to the police in the end. |

Total ignore is the right approach don't even block as that is a reaction .
People who trol others are deeply sad themselves so are looking for a response trying to make others feel as they do .
Sad and miserable so don't feed there need to make others feel as they do a total ignore will soon have them moving on trust me on that .
Bear mind a total ignore means you do not block they will come at you hard trying for a response but it you stand firm and just ignore don't block they will move on .
after all I block shows they got to you in someway that's why trols will set up new accounts to troll you again because they know they are getting to you .

Unfortunately some people are jealous and vindictive and not very healthy. Used to have some prat post on The VA message board about me . He only made himself look a twat. What people say about me is non of my business. I just don't interact at all with them ,they like a reaction. Stay true to yourself dont let the trolls get to you xx
Had a female contact me slating me and all the guys I had played with saying they had small cocks and she could take much bigger lol. Wtf?? Where on earth does stuff like that come from? Instant block and water off a ducks back x Some people are just nuts! |

Total ignore is the right approach don't even block as that is a reaction .
People who trol others are deeply sad themselves so are looking for a response trying to make others feel as they do .

If im feeling "trolly" ill say something back.. Usually they get nasty when you dont reply straight off but Im not super woman and I have a message title for a reason (usually I point that out before I block).
The people who really irratate me are the ones who dont listen.. Asking for meets right now or face pictures but when it comes to their face pics they dont upload theirs on here as they have jobs ect.. but theyll happily send them on skype or kik  |

Being old school, the biggest change to the scene is that it now attracts idiots, there was a time when all meets were organised via the post, maybe it needed a certain level of intelligence to write a letter, whereas nowadays the keyboard warriors who have a fantasy that someone will fancy there ugly wife prevails, and with it, we have lost manners, etiquette and intelligence...
Rarely nowadays does one meet couples who can hold an intelligent conversation, now it is "exchange a text talk message, ring the bell, get served Aldi's wine, tell the guy his wife is beautiful, fuck her whilst he bashes one off and tries to workout how his phone camera works".
Politeness costs nothing, personally I have now got my own set of rules...and regardless of looks etc, someone who can spell, have the decency to reply whether positively or negative all go down in my book as decent people... |

I just used to be overly polite and nice whislt being hugely sarcastic and belittling but I doubt very much they had the intelligence to work out I was massively taking the piss and having a laugh at them at their expense! |

These sort of people are normally looking for a reaction. I would just ignore and block. If it was a particularly abusive message, I would report them to admin. I find it best not to get in to any conversation with these idiots! Looking at your pics, they are most likely jealous of you!  |

Lol I get all sorts of abuse due to my, *ahem*, inexperience. I tend to just ignore it, although there's a certain weirdness to taking precious time out your day to make sure I know how much of a disgrace you think I am :P |

It's good they're nasty in message as it saves wasting too much oxygen, keystrokes or more on them.
I just delete & block. Amazing the amount of people here with serous keyboard aggression for a keyboard face off/argument lmfao.
Send them a simple hello email and they fire a shitogram back. Thats if they aint fired one at you in the first place for whatever reason.
For me it goes to prove they're here for everything but fun. It's kind of them to show you so |

I had some unwanted messages from a woman a few months ago.
No connection to her whatsoever but it turned out one of my veri's had messaged her so she thoroughly checked him & his veri's.
She called me names that even Google couldn't understand lol!
She turned out to be a serious bunny boiler |

We had something similar a while ago where we blocked a nasty messages profile only to have their 'friend ' message us on their behalf a few moments later, rise above them hun don't give them the satisfaction !!!  |

I love the one liners asking how I am, usual response is 'fine thanks' and wait for yet another question, but I especially like the single guys who ask if 'I'm getting plenty', hell yeah I'm a piece of meat and fuck anything with a pulse!! Most guys on here just don't get the fact that respect has to be involved along with mental stimulation, after all vibrators don't give you shit or answer back and batteries are cheaper than condoms!! |

I'll never understand why a site this big, doesn't have more admins. It's disheartening to not get feedback and these idiots stamped out. It's now why I don't use fab as often. On another site, admin interact with you daily, as do the mods. Far friendlier. |

Bit surprised you've had much of a problem? Maybe I'm just lucky but I usually find a polite reply works fine. I even get thanked for replying!
I do delete most one-liners without responding (as my profile indicates) but can't recall any problem comeback.
Some one-liners just beg for a sarcastic response though. My "favourite" is "Can I ask you a question"........ Doh |

Bit surprised you've had much of a problem? Maybe I'm just lucky but I usually find a polite reply works fine. I even get thanked for replying!

P.s. I've had far more issues on webcam where some idiots can get quite irate if you don't do exactly what they want even if you have umpteen requests..... |

I would say ignore them. Don't retailiate.
If you want to respond do so in a respectful manner, and then maybe block the user. You don't want to be drawn into a long unpleasant exchange. |
