Ok, off the back of a recent thread in site feedback, it reminded me of a thread we did a few years ago. I thought I would resurrect it, to see if there was still interest or not:
Those who need or would like a text buddy to let them know who/when they were meeting someone or even if things didn't go to plan, could arrange someone to check in with them to see if all was good?
Would this be of interest to anyone and would there be people willing to be a safety text buddy? |

Im a 6ft 18st bear so the chances of me being dragged off down a dark alley are slim to none and frankly wishfull thinking on my part lol
But id be happy to help out anyone who wanted a final safety net |

All we used the last time, was user name (also male/female) and area best suited to you.
Then if someone needed prior to a meet they can contact you via here then you can decide whether you were happy to disclose your number or not and also if you would be available at the time they were meeting.

Yep I have been a text buddy for a few of my female swinging friends. I will usually text them 10 mins into a meet to make sure they are ok and they are getting good vibe as often they go into hotels, apartments, parties alone. They don't need it all the time, just when it's a first meet and there hasn't been much chat beforehand.
She would usually text me back and say 'I'm Staying' or 'he's weird I need a get out', at which point I call her with an 'emergency' that needs her attention! lol
Sounds extreme I suppose but women on their own can definitely be a target and they often meet a stranger in that persons home or a hotel etc... which can be potentially dangerous.

Cool jot me down im the mr as a stay at home dad im free pretty much 24/7 and live in derbyshire so anywhere around there i do a similar thing for a post op ts freind of mine its amazing how many messed up people there are in the world and how nice they can seem when they want i think its a great thing your doing there is always an element of risk to this game especially for the single ladies |

Exactly! And why I thought I would see if people still needed or wanted this, not just for single females though, men are more than equal to request this as well, so male, female and couple volunteers needed xx |

I recently me a lady from Fab for a social drink. Later in the evening she showed me the "bail" text that she had someone send her which gave her the excuse to leave early if things were not going well. Fortunately she didn't need to use it and we are enjoying getting to know each other. |

I always let a girlfriend know where I'm going and the name of whom I'm meeting. Then when I'm home I'll text her to say I'm safe and sound. It's better than just going to a meet and no one knowing where your going. |

I like the sound of this too especially since theres a lot of nice ppl on here who live too far away. Although i do have a few locals ones its nice to spread the love. |

Interestingly a few years back a well known lad off here told me of the need for guys, yes even big ones, to be vigilant as at the time there was a scam where a girl would invite a guy to a house and when things were heating up a load of lads would pile in and mug them.
Not meny would report it and after a few days the profile would vanish to a new area.
It can be a risky business this swinging lark.

I've done this for a couple of ladies (friends) on here in the past. Happy to do it again [am I offering....? Dunno].
Happens in vanilla life too.
One trick I taught my daughters as they hit there teens and going out on their own. ..... If getting in a taxi, take a picture of the back of the cab (number plate and licence etc). Let the driver know you did it and send to a friend..... Guaranteed a safe ride home!

Though I find the idea a nice gesture I really can't see how it would work
I'm assuming it's so if your in trouble on a meet you have somebody to come rescue you?
Not being on a downer I'm just being realistic but if I was on a meet and the guy got pushy with me is a guy off the internet really going to drop everything and come and jump infront of a guy to help me?
I really can't see it myself
And there is no point having a female text buddy as I would never expect another woman to handle a situation I couldn't and out her at danger |

No, this thread was really about people who don't have a friend to say who they are meeting and when, not a come and help me now scenario as the police is there for that, obviously it not a required need as it was a few years ago, but thank you to all who did volunteer to be text buddies x |

Personally yes i would my mum is my best mate my wife is the love of my life and i have 2 daughters i firmly believe every women should feel safe and any man who doesnt aid someone in trouble when they can is not a man but a coward

I'm happy to have my name added to a list, I've also heard of the scam where guys were being mugged by a group of guys just as things were hotting up, it's not just ladies who are vulnerable. |

Rules I try to follow
Don't take valuables to a meet that way can't leave them behind or worst case get nicked
Meet at spot with cctv so you can be seen traced if you disappear lol
Park your car in busy place meet on foot car keys may be only thing I take but safer if they don't see car harder to find Nick etc
Tell friend who your meeting on here Ask around here about person your meeting on here
Trust your instincts chat etc if you feel uncomfortable walk away
Get to meet early so you can view meet before they see you that way you can access if you feel safe or they look dodgy
