Vitiligo

I have vitiligo and just wondered if anyone else on fab does?

It's an autoimmune condition that causes you to lose the pigment in your skin and have white skin I patches instead of normal coloured skin.

Michael Jackson had it apparently.

It makes me very self conscious as the patches are quite bad by my pussy and arse and before a meet I make sure i show all photos of me in case people are put off.

It's not catching or contagious just makes me look like a cow lol

I'm also a bbw so fat and patchy ha ha

My husband does over 30% of his body. He has to be so careful in the sun now.

I to have the condition. I woke up one day when I was around 20 and it had appeared.

I spent years being so paranoid about it.

About 5 years ago Id had enough of hiding and ventured to leysdown nudist beach.

Most people would look and not be bothered, only one woman commented to her husband about how ugly it was (I didn't give her the satisfaction of a reaction).

Unfortunately I too have it around my genitals. Most people with vitiligo do.

On a positive note: I dated one lady who described it as looking beautiful like marble. And I'm seeing a FWB who loves it now.

But I still worry about the look from time to time ... and always eplain and show before playing... giving her the option to walk away.

I don't, but have a couple of friends who do. If anything I think it enhances a person's beauty. I can understand the need to explain it, or why it might make someone feel self-conscious (I have similar issues), but I've not come across someone who thought it strange, off-putting or otherwise. It is likely to attract looks - it's unusual, after all - but it's not worth equating those looks with ill will, because I'm willing to bet that the vast majority of those looks aren't borne of negativity.

It's easy to say "don't let it affect you" without having the same condition and knowledge of bearing it myself, but I'd like to encourage you (and anyone with vitiligo) to not be ashamed of it, or seek to hide it away, or generally feel bad about it. It's skin. If someone has a problem with it, they're not worth a damn

(slight tipsy, hope this makes sense!)

I've had loads of comments throughout my life .... Mine started at age 8 .

This year has crept onto my face.

I often forget I have it and see people staring at me and I think 'wtf are they looking at' then I remember!!

I will never understand why some people are so rude and ignorant. It wouldn't bother me in the slightest if I met someone with the condition. Just makes them unique.

Hi,

I had it in my late twenties and early thirties and also on top of it had pityriasis versicolor. I saw a Dermatologist who treated me with PUVA treatment (like standing in an upright sunbed, but a different kind of light). I also washed my body in a shampoo called T gel. I had it for a few yrs but this treatment cured it. I feel for you, it's really annoying and I was very self conscious. I hope it goes xx

Yes MJ did have it.

I have friends who have it.

It's nothing to be embarrassed about it. It's just like any condition, if a woman has to have a breast removed because of cancer then it's nothing to be ashamed of.

Menston near Ilkley

It sounds like you had 'Sun Fungus' 10% of people going to warmer climes such the tropics can pick it up. Myself included.

Easily treated with strong anti dandruff shampoo used as a lotion overnight.

Selsun shampoo was what the ships Doctor gave me to use.

If that would put a couple off, then I really question how much fun you could have had with a couple that shallow anyway

I don't have it, but know people who do. I say celebrate the diversity of differing beauty. There is no such thing as the perfect body, there is beauty everywhere and variation in skin colour is just as attractive as uniform skin colour. Your beauty will be enhanced by your uniqueness! X

Apart from the fact that nice people wouldn't discriminate against a potential playmate for having vitiligo, what I would also say and what you might find reassuring, is that the lighting in the play areas of the clubs I've been to is pretty flattering - quite low, not bright. Many (most?) people feel self conscious about revealing themselves because of scars, stretchmarks, or other things *they* (and probably not most others) perceive as 'imperfections' about themselves, myself included, but somehow, in a club environment once you realise that people of all shapes, sizes and with various different physical features are okay about stripping off, it becomes easier to do, and very liberating, despite how you might feel about your own body usually.

I have it, Mr C. Probably started in my 20s. Looked like I had camouflage balls. Now I have completely white balls. About 6 months ago I noticed a white patch at the base of my dick, it is gradually growing bigger. Doesn't bother me or Mrs C at all. The only problem is I think I will end up with the exact opposite of what most women want on here (a BBC), a SWC small white cock LOL.

I have it too! It's developed over time on my hands and feet. I stay out of the sun generally and have to put factor 50 on. I also have it on my genitdks. I went to the GUM clinic once and the Dr seemed a bit shocked by it!

I'd rather have hair there to cover it up but men usually want the hairless look!
