Get cheap ones to start with, in a few different sizes and see what works best.

Get either ones that fasten somehow (so can be undone) or are made of rubber, or similar, so they can be cut off if necessary.

Buying a steel one and then finding it's a bit too tight and you can't get it off is not ideal!

Thank you... I was looking at one of the rubber ones that has two rings, one for the shaft and one for the balls perhaps with a vibrating attachment, I don't know what your experiences are and don't wish to pry but what are your thoughts on one of those for someone who's never used one... ?

I don't have a cock or balls so I'm probably not the best person to ask about the experience of actually using one.

I know the theory and am aware of several practical issues but can't advise on the actual user experience.

I would think it's like most toys in that individual people have different experiences and like different things. The only way to find out is to try different things and see what you like.

At least lovehoney usually have good reviews to help.

Personally though, if I was buying one for a beginner, I'd probably get a set of two or three moderately thick rubber rings. Just plain single rings. And go from there.

What are they supposed to do? I got my partner to wear one as a friend recommended it as I thought it would stimulate my clit but it didn't really do that!

They help keep the blood in his cock so he gets harder/stays hard more easily or for longer.

We got some glow in dark ones from lovehoney, great fun. They seem very firm at first but they just stretch over. Very comfortable fit, best we've had.

Well, not all of them vibrate. With the vibrating ones there's sometimes a bullet or something similar to help stimulate the clit. Lots of different types.

I just have a wide stainless single ring , they cum in different sizes so you need to measure girth and go from there , too tight and it gets painful ,too loose and they don't have much effect, once you have the right size they realy do make you harder and you realy explode when you cum,

I have had no trouble releasing a steel one when I have finished, if you lube it first it slides of easily even when your hard

Try a leather strap first, you can get an idea of how tight you want a ring to be, and can take it off easily if you prefer to cum without any restriction.

The stretchy durex ones are good to start with. Very easy to use and available in the sexual health Isle of most big supermarkets (Tesco for one). I definitely they provide a good enhancement to all involved. They really get all the vains in your cock bulging that no doubt leads to a better feeling to those being penetrated.
