We are thinking of hosting a party every months or so in a large 3 bed Man city penthouse apartment. Food and drinks included £30 Good,bad idea?? Would be looking for around verified 20 -25 couples and a few verified single females & Guys we know personally so well vetted.
Been to a fair few parties and clubs and was thinking we like to try and host a party. Anyone try to host a party? any advice what worked and what didn't? and what you like to see at a private party xx |

Others have done this and have made a success but eventually fallen into difficulties. Your guests aren't the ones paying a deposit on the place so may not respect it. I know of parties where doors have been kicked, coffee tables smashed, sofas slashed with stilettos, parties being stopped mid flow by security and people asked to leave without a refund and people shagging on the veranda of a penthouse, causing complaints. If you want to do it to make a quick buck then go for it but be prepared to lose your deposit or get kicked out.
Choose your location carefully and consider if you have neighbours or not as they are usually the main problem.

I'm in Manchester every other weekend would love to attend .It would be better joining you guys than spending it all alone in a hotel room .So people that goes to your party should respect the place as if its their own .Maybe yous could just allow so much drink when going .When people get out of hand it spoils it for the rest .Go for it and good luck keep me posted if its happening and the date . |

may i ask will you have public liability insurance in place for this event along with sufficient fire extinguishers and first aid equipment should the need arise ?
also in view of the numbers attending in such a small area will there be clearly marked emergency escape routes ?
oh and what type of security will be in place to ensure attendees safety from internal and external threats ? |

GO FOR IT! Follow your passion and don't let envious and negative people influence you! This is how we started 7 years ago from my two bedrooms flat and after 9 and a half weeks from the launch of this very profile we hired the first Penthouse for 36 people.

Definitely give it a go. I've been to loads of private parties and had a great time. Ignore the negative comments as I've never seen things broken or been thrown out lol. Hope its a great success  |

Also have you considered hosting a party at a club that can be hired? You could hone your hosting skills with none of the worry of the accommodation. Not sure how it works money wise but I'm sure you must get the entrance fee?  |

It's cheap with us and you get all of the entrance fee! PM me if interested but I suspect it's the penthouse experience that the hosts want to offer which is fair enough  xx |

Go for it, my FB hosts parties regularly and I've started helping; great fun and great night!
Just be circumspect with your guest list and you won't have any probs with misbehaviour, lots of chatting beforehand to make as sure as possible that your guests will click.
As for the entrance fee it seems pretty reasonable, but that's subjective tbh; if the venue etc are nice then why not?
Anyway hope it goes well and have a great time!

As a party organiser I will reconfirm GO FOR IT and £30 pp if No single guys are allowed is reasonable for Manchester for an all inclusive private event.
If you allow BBW's I would charge them double price (as they do in airlines) because they break all your furniture!!! |

That's why I said to hire a club at least to begin with. There are some really nice clubs which are spotless and give a high end experience too. |

To me it makes perfect sense if you want to become party organisers to dip your toe in the water by hosting from a club! It was a suggestion I was going to make to the op myself!
I know they're a lovely couple with lots of friends - but those friends may not be free/not turn up when it comes to attending a party - which could work out expensive for the op!

It takes balls to put your head above the parapit and do something like this. So I doff my head to anyone who is prepared to give it a go!
All I would say is plan carefully, do your homework on your venue, be careful about who you invite, be prepared to host and not play at first if at all and learn from the mistakes of others.
Someone made a comment about HMRC. I am quite vocal on non declaration of earnings but actually you don't have to inform HMRC of a new business venture for 3 months. You get that time to see if it's for you and if you will continue. So you don't have to declare this to HMRC straight away. If you do carry on though, someone out there will blow you up. It just happens, so be prepared.

I went to 1 in leeds last weekend which went off without a hitch even if there were much too many men and far too little women or couples. Everyone was still very respectful which i find most swingers are |

We are Just floating the idea at the moment and gathering ideas and feedback before we decide if to do a party or not.
We have had the idea of hiring a whole house or boat to host a party not just an apartment. We may even us one of the club's if we decided to do it or other venues but very early stages at mintue. To clarify a few things below people have asked us.
We are considering hosting to two very different sets of parties -
Party One - Just couple and females
Per couple £30
Single females £15
We are Considering single guys but feedback from nearly all couples that have contacted us is that they do not want single guys to attend at all.
Party Two - Will be BI-couples and Bi female & Bi males, TV & TS
Per couple £30
Single guys £30
Single Females £15
In both case we will be only letting fully verified fab member with picrtures and a fair few verifications attend.
The Bi parties will not allow to many single guys and they will been vetted by us as in most cases we will have met or played with them before.
The main thing is making sure we can get enough people to attend to make it a successful event and try and make it different to other peoples parties so people want to come back again. Just wanted to see what interest on fab before we decided to do this or not.

I've been to parties as part of a couple and found that the odd one or two single men are quite handy for a nice mmf or mmmf without a wife being put out. In fact the single males have been quite popular  |

Private parties are brilliant we hold parties and socials in cottingham just outside hull but due to high demand we have popped them on hold while we get a larger venue. You will find £30 is a little steep as an entrance fee as lot of private parties are cheaper or free clubs are also cheaper aswell. As for providing during the event ie food etc, your best going the a selction of light nibbles as mostly people tend just to have a nibble etc while pouring a drink etc. A good think to have in playrooms/areas complementary lube, condoms and babywipes, shows your guest your there to provide a relaxed safe place for them to enjoy. The better the experience your guest feel the better your events will be and people will come back time and time again. Good luck |

Airline obesity policies differ in degree and detail, but decree essentially that if you don't fit in a seat with an extension seatbelt and the armrest down, you will be charged for two seats or removed from the plane.

I really don't get this "paying for parties" thing at all, especially when the organisers are so nasty.
We've been to loads of parties and never paid for any, sometimes a plate for the buffet and that is it. |

Single girls aren't always looking to play with couples so well vetted single guys are a must! I'll help with the vetting too if needs be and also worthwhile having a chat with Vicky at TH with a view to hiring the club for your 1st party as there are already a couple of private parties in Manchester each month that I know off that are very successful! |

Wow, some of the comments on this thread, the bitchiness, sniping and silly comments from both party hosts and ex party hosts (one particularly who actually got fired for being rubbish at hosting) is pathetic.
OP, go your own way, do what you feel right and if your heart is in it, you have a good chance of success, that's what we did, now retired and just playing, but if you want any proper advice from hosts that ran the busiest, most positively reviewed night in a particular clubs history then by all means PM us, after all we have no alliegence or axe to grind xx |

Good luck in your venture . I would suggest taking a non refundable depoosit so that you at least know people are serious .

The TH or another club for our first party maybe a good starting point. The only problem with the TH is I think some of our close friends that have already said they would attend are based in Manchester to Lakes area and we don't think they would all travel the distance to the TH. We have considered maybe doing a Preston area based parties because fairly central to a lot of our friends and don't know of many parties or clubs around that area. Maybe a rethink on location of the party is needed ?
This is all a working progress and why we posted here in this forum to listen to people and learn what people think and want. Thanks to all that are positively trying to help and all your positive suggestions xx |

I think if you are inviting single females, single males are a must. Also, fifteen squids is a lot for a single female. I can get into a club full of single men for a lot less. Sounds like it would be a lot of fun for couples but probably not something myself or my single female friends would go to |

I have thought of this and would gladly do it, you can find an appartment for as little as £100 if you search hard enough... The hard part is finding genuine people that will turn up, understand that non of it falls outta the sky and a small donation from all to cover expenses are always gratefully appreciated.
