Hi, before I start a few things
1) this is not a look at me post
2) this is not a poor poor me post
3) this is not a ' i have a right to meets ' post
All I'm asking is any solid advice here
I'm not expecting women to be fighting over me to meet.
My age at 53 is against me and am not in my prime anymore.
Oh plus I smoke.
Have tried nice polite messages,witty messages, slightly random messages, all tailored to the persons profile.
I know several guys here who are similar age and looks who seem to get replies
Just like to see if I'm heading in the right direction or not

My advice is to go to the clubs and talk to people. unfortunately, most ladies receive upwards of 200 messages a day and nothing like enough time to trawl through them so it's not personal, building friendships in the clubs is more likely to result in meets.

Basically you can write the best profile in the world and send the best messages in the world, using the standards of English that would be required from a top-level lawyer, but it is all in vain if you have no face pic and, more importantly, you have a good face pic. Everybody, and I mean everybody, checks pics and stats first. If you don't fit the bill there, unlucky.
I've been told my profile is well written and my messages are good too, but they get to my pics and stats and that's all they need to see. I'm not tall, slim or particularly handsome and so I'm very much pissing into the wind most of the time.
PS. I'm not looking for sympathy, just being frank about how shit goes down on here. At least in my area anyway...

OP, being dishonest is not a good way to get meets. Even if it works, they're unlikely to go well.
You realise you're going to be less in demand than some other guys on here, so you just have to represent yourself as well as you can but *honestly* and be patient.
It really pisses me off when I meet guys only to find they lied to me. |
