Hi. I'm 34 and a widower. Lost my wife some 4 years ago. I have found fab very helpful as we had a swingers lifestyle prior to her passin and our friends have been amazing, but things have taken a different route now with me as a single guy. I just wondered if there were any other widowers out there, plus any advice from couples / females on profile and meets.

Your profile looks fine. And why lose "widower"? It's a fact (not wishing to sound harsh) and explains why you have kids about etc. I'm sorry for your loss and wish you luck.

I'm from Lancashire originally - so "home" or around there; the Lakes are beautiful. Alternatively somewhere near the coast, Mudeford perhaps.

Yes the lakes are stunning.

Mudeford??

The swinging scene is pretty good in the south west. Maybe pop down n sample the life one weekend ??? Xx

It's near Bournemouth - so not quite the South West, but not far.

And maybe we will

Very true, your comment is much appreciated. Some people are pretty Judgemental though.

Hi Guy

I'm just 8 months widowed. Like you my husband and I used to swing. I signed back on here in April time. I'd really hit a low tbh at that stage. Then Out of nowhere comes this guy who talked me into meeting. We are now a couple looking forward to a lot of fun in the future.

Good luck

Fab has been a wonderful place for me to move on from a difficult time in my life and hope that you get well looked after here.

From your profile and the polite and friendly tone of your posts in the forum, you sound like a great guy, just the type I enjoy!

I'm sure you will be a popular guy xxx

Oh thank you meeting wolfie has really helped me kick start my life again. There's something : someone special for me, no longer just existing for my daughters sake.

Guy - maybe put the widow bit in your profile text not as a headline.

Easter just around the corner!

"Aldo any amendments to my profile would be appreciated. Should I lose the "widower" status ??"

It's completely up to you regarding your widower status, but I don't really like to see it if I'm honest. It's very personal to you and just makes me feel sad for that person, which is probably not what you want. Sorry I don't want to be insensitive in any way.

I'm a widower (5years) so understand how you feel. All I can say is enjoy life to the full and stay positive. I used to feel guilty about feeling happy and enjoying myself but have come to realise that's how our loved ones who have passed would want us to live our lives.

Northern lad. Thank you and yes a good mantra. Love life to the fullest.

I've had some great positive and helpful comments.

Just need to find a good woman / couple that understand the trials and tribulations of a single daddy.

Anyone out there ?? Xx

No but I would lose any reference to being a widower. Your previous partners shouldn't come into a new relationship or be discussed. Mrs A x
