Its a personal preference, and you shouldnt, by and large, change what you do to suit others. You may of course wish to make some adjustments within a relationship but thats really down to how much you really care about the issue.
On a personal level - I prefer a woman either completely bare or groomed down to a short, preferrably shaped little carpet. In my experience very few women prefer a fully groomed male. Most prefer some degree of body hair, which is handy for me since i have a fair bit.
