If you want to mention your disability, I agree it is good to be honest. But I would rather have a little more information to go on.
I won't give you any more profile advise.....I don't want a ban. But think that as your post is about your disability and age, thinking about wording it better in your profile may assist.
Regarding being 51 ? That's no age. I am older and having a blast . |

Having a disability or condition such as you're wouldn't put us off, however as with anything it's the person as a whole we look at, positivity, friendliness etc.
On fab a good profile is needed for anyone to be able to succeed regardless of gender or circumstance. My normal advice is look at your profile as if you were someone reading it for the first time, does it promote you in a way you would respond to it? |

I think we are back to personal preferences again. It has been discussed before about preferences for certain ethnicities, height, age, weight etc and this is possibly no different.
I think that your disability is more important to you than it is to other people. Also if you don't like your hair colour post chemo, then dye it! Get it done professionally and it won't look daft, but bear in mind that most guys your age do have grey hair. Of course, I can see how an illeostomy could put some people off, especially when you get your clothes off. And yes, it is better to mention it before you start to get naked, but does it have to be mentioned in the first message? Maybe get to know someone first and then bring it up? |
