The whole concept of racial preference is an anathema to me. To say "you would like to try" is just appalling in so far as you would think there is a difference in human kind. I really do worry sometimes. |

I get that his preference in this instance is for black women, but to then add no Asians seems strange to me. I assume that if you are looking for black women that means no asians, no whites, no Latinos, no men, no tvs etc. But only one of those was mentioned. It just seemed strange to me. |

To be honest liw the man theres loads of people searching for what they want or like. Also someone mentioned something about catalogue well lets have it right it is so if you want to blame any one blame fab for putting in that option if colour. So my perspective (fem speaking) i see no wrong in your preference to black rather than Asian women, perhaps the header could have been better (I think it could) but we all have our desires. Personally I have no desire to sleep with Asian men, (past experiences) but that does not put me off Asian women (again preference).
So having said that and expecting people to jump down my neck (I have broad shoulders) why is it such an issue?
The reality is, I have spoken to women of different ethnic origins on here) we all like different things, OP maybe you could have worded it better but that's life unfortunately and we all have our preferences so let it be |

i have been reading this for the last 36hrs... and for the life of me i am still trying to work out where "black women" and "no asian" cross on the venn diagram.........
still confused......
if they do cross that's one hell of a niche......
i know there are some carribean people of indian origin by they are rare....

And those that say, 'no blacks or Asians' .... but apparently that is preference, again. Yes, you can have a preference, but are you entitled to express it however you want to? Personally I find the title of the thread offensive, as I find profile text which has a string of no,,,, no,,,, etc in a rude way. Have said it before and will say it again, no doubt, that type of language smacks of historical language which is now out of date and for that reason it's offensive and lazy. This is the same for those who say, 'no white, no cats, and no Scottish' as opposed to 'no blacks, no dogs and not Irish'. Leaves me wondering why people can't express their preferences in a better way |

I have no issue people expressing their preferences as long as they are not rude about it.
Like I prefer not to meet guys that want to meet me for my skin colour or because I am French. Not interested in being a tick on a to-do-list.
My body my preferences!

I think a large part of the problem is the way in which a person's ethnic preferences are stated, whether inclusive or exclusive.
A woman who advertises for "black men only" sounds more positive than one who states "no whites or Asians". |

I think loads of people are missing the point here. If you are looking for black women, then saying you are looking for black women is enough. Adding No Asians is superfluous. He didn't write "no bi males" or "no tv/ts" or "no Latinos", he didn't need to, because we know he is only looking for "black women" |

I think people need to be aware of how they say what they say. Its obvious really, and if you say something which doesn't actually portray how you think, to say, oh yeah, I know it sounded like that, didn't mean to come across like that ... rather than getting defensive and going on and on about it really works. I noticed the OP did that a while ago and has left it alone now. This makes me feel it was a genuine misjudgement on how it was worded ....the OP has shown some maturity here. |

Don't like is one thing. Expressing that in offensive terms is different.
Just very notice that it's all about not offending certain groups of people, but other groups are fair game.
To be fair I have no idea what the person who made the comments position is on "no blacks no Asians" posts. |

Perhaps it is, but he is evidently making a genuine excuse. He has learned, aplogized, and will express himself differently in the future. Give him a break now.
Other people in this thread are a lot more aggressive about their own point of view and have learned nothing at all, they should take OP's example and reflect a bit on self. |
