"Overpriced. Get a standard TENS box of Ebay (c.£25 as opposed to c.£100). If you look at some of the E-stim type boxes they look very similar to TENS machines with some different coloured knobs. "
They produce a totally different kind of sensation. |

A TENS machine is an introduction, but a proper machine is completely different and can deliver sensations of varying type and intensity. I have loved using one and enjoy an anal plug particularly
It plays a role for me in BDSM, being rendered helpless and 'tortured' by electrics. |

The sensation ranges from a vibrator-like buzz up to OMFG!
I bought my stuff from Aliexpress for practically pennies. Came with all the accessories too. Pads, butt plug, urethral sound and cock rings. A similar set-up from a sex shop here is hundreds. |

Yes anything that delivers current to human body should be made to medical standards so see what labels are on the expensive ones unless you want your bollocks frying. And do not use anything that plugs into the mains even with an adaptor you could die if there was a fault. Worked in electronics for 25 years.

Make sure any control box that you get is CE approved. You wouldn't want to be zapping your bits with something dangerous. We have a Series 1 box from e-stim.co.uk and love it. The sensations for me are like I am actually being fucked when using an insertable bi-polar elecrtrode - hands free masturbation |

Years ago I purchased an Erostek ET312b. It was expensive but was at that time by far the leader in terms of quality. Over the years it has seen moderate home use. I have had to replace the internal battery once i that time but that ws a simple enough process.
As others have said you want to consider if you want to cut cost at an increased risk of malfunction and the damage that could cause. Personally I would stick to made for play estim systems from recognised companies or if really on a budget perhaps a TENS machine.
It is also worth considering what you want to try connecting to it. There are a number of different patern of connectors used and you may find you also need to order adaptor plugs or cables.
There are a number of arguements on what materials to avoid in the pads and insertables but generally avoiding nickel and chrome coated items is probably a good idea.
My final comment is that it is a good idea to avoid passing currents through the torso. The easiest way to do this is to keep all play below the waist and be careful not to touch active contacts with your hands unless wearing rubber gloves. Some companies make estim nipple clamps, personally I would avoid these as I think they are just too risky. |

we were lucky enough to be given a two channel tens machine a few years ago great fun having two young ladys wired up pubic mound & inner thigh then have a competition who can take things to the highest level . have also had the opertunity to use an estim and they are far superior all around fantastic fun . re the above comments re nipple clamps would strongly advise never to connect two pads/clamps across the chest as very dangerous to the heart but nipple to clit can be good fun hehe |

This is the guide that made us give e-stim fun a go. The controlbox in the article is the one we got.

Electrastim flick duo is the one we have, as well as a violet wand. It was about 130 quid and comes ready to go. Lots of info available on the net.
DO NOT USE ON ANYONE WITH HEART PROBLEMS.
we only use ours below the belt.
Estim works by coursing electricity through the body. Violets wands work by passing current over the surface. |

Hiya heavenNhell - what do you think made the Estim so much better than a standard TENS box. The only thing I would say set the one I've used apart was the "fire" button - and it's easy enough to knock one of those up to connect to a standard TENS box and the mark up is quite a bit more.
I know if you go for the really top end ones they have a number of programmable options build which may be better for erotic stimulation (as opposed to the pain-play I use main for mainly
I'd still stand by my advice that if your new to it then an TENS box and a few accessories is a better low cost entry option |

I have been researching this so much and have ordered a 2 channel Tens box, although I am still looking to buy a 2b box. That is a really good internet forum, and that way you can get so much information. It has it really captured my attention at the moment. |
