When I first joined fab my profile wasn't up to scratch, neither were the messages I sent. As a result most messages were deleted. Having worked on both message content and profile I have now had lots of messages read and not deleted! My question is this - if someone has read and not deleted my message, should I say hello again, assuming that they are interested a little bit? Or leave it till they reply, risking them forgetting about me? Just wondering really? Thanks. |

Just our personal opinion and don't mean it to sound harsh but we generally reply instantly if we are at all interested or mark unread for a message later, read with no reply is generally considered a no and anymore messages after that would come across as desperation to us.
Generally speaking best way is send a message and forget about it, don't stress chasing and find yourself getting frustrated.

I would give it a few days as sometimes even if we were interested, it can take time to respond. We may have looked at the message quickly in a coffee shop on the mobile while out and plan to reply later on the laptop. Also with a combination of kids, work and receiving lots of messages it can take time to get on top of things.
Personally we would not mind getting a second polite message, but everyone is different. Hope that all makes sense |

I frequently mark messages that I don't have time to respond to as "unread" so they stay bright yellow in my inbox. I am sure that's frustrating to some who see I have been online and assume I am "ignoring" them - when I'm actually just waiting until I either have time, or am in the mood, to respond properly. |

Don't bother messaging again if they want to talk to you they will let you know.

I normally view there profile before reading the message and if I don't like them I don't read it. Sometimes I'm nosey and want to see what they write even though I've no intention of replying regardless to what they say. |

We tend to reply instantly or at the end of the day when we can look together. We then tend to do a mass delete at the end of the week. we only delete those that are not in our preferances or no pic. I would not re send a message if they have not replied within a day or so after reading it.

If I am going to reply I do so instantly or mark the message unread and reply later.
If the message has been read and not answered then I have no interest in the sender, same as if I delete them either read or unread.... I look at profiles before opening mail, if I don't like the profile I don't bother with the message. |

Depending on our mood, it can take us a few days to get around to replying. If a profile really grabs our attention then we'll usually reply right away. If we're going to delete then we might on it in a bulk go every few months. |

You Dont Need to Know, right now |
Don't obsess about the state of your sent items. You will never know what read-and-not-deleted means, as everyone reacts to messages differently. Assume that no reply means no interest, and continue your search. That way, if you do get a reply a week or more later, it will come as a pleasant surprise. |
