A wink or a message

Definitely a message. A wink is ok on sites where you have to pay to read messages but on here, they seem pretty pointless and lazy to me. If they're lazy in the first contact, it makes you think they might be lazy in bed too lol! If someone likes you enough, they'll make the effort to write a message (not copying and pasting a generic one) otherwise there's nothing to grab your interest. |

I prefer a message... although If someone winks me and I quite like their profile I will bring it to Master attention and then wink back..
That normally then gets me a message..
However, I like first messages to have a photo on... saves me asking, and then when I get it and hate it having to upset someone.. as they then know its because of their face photo I have then refused them.

Don't mind wink as long as the person winking has face pic on there profile so we can see who's winked us if not that kinda defeat the object of winking, a nice message with pic if none on profile is good to. So yeah wink us or message after reading our profile in FULL !!!

I dont mind either, so long as the person has read my profile otherwise whilst i check their profile out and do nothing where they have winked, if its a message and they are not my age preference or the other end of the country, i send them a polite message back |

I prefer a message. I rarely respond to winks but now see them sometimes as a virtual 'wolf whistle' Someone from miles away may express appreciation without wanting to meet and a wink can show that, I guess.
Nothing beats a well crafted message with a face pic from someone who has clearly read the profile. |

I don't get winks or messages - so it's a bit academic.
I think the sequence ought to be: 1) send wink 2) other person winks back (this shows there might be some interest) 3) send message to other person.
The downside of sending a message in the first place is getting the mix of information and flirting about right. It's a shame sending a thoughtfully and carefully constructed witty message trying to create some sort of dialog - only to see "Deleted" as a result.

When you consider how many men there are on here and how long it takes to craft a personalised, unique message that's then just read deleted, even if you do meet what's on the profile requirements, then sending a wink seems to be a great idea.
Send a wink, if they like your profile, they wink back and you message. I think that's the way it should be done.
Would save women and couples a lot of time reading 'hows u sxy' messages and would mean they could start convos with people they may be interested in.
So some say lazy, I say good time management!
But having said that, most people hate the winkers so I still send messages though don't send as many anymore as it seems to be a bit like cold calling. |

We send a wink when we want to show an interest in a profile! But we are unsure for a variety of reasons, it may be compliance, adaptability, or just four different stones!
Each to ones own, what tickles our fancy may not tickle yours .
A wink for us is a good chance to see if there is at least some mutual interest.... At the end of the day we are winking because we would like to find out some more about you! |
