What are you actually asking OP?
If you've read someone's profile & I mean fully read it, and you think you might be what they're looking for then send a polite message
Be sure to include notes that you have actually read their profile, any details you may have in common etc
But above all be yourself!
Good luck x |

"... if someone would like you to speak to them?
Had to check your age as I thought this is the kind of question a pubescent child would ask."
It only took nine replies for the infantile rudeness to start. Impressive even by Fab forum standards. |

"... if someone would like you to speak to them?
In what situation?
Club/party
Generally they will make eye contact but there is no sure fire way. It must be daunting."
That's one word for it. |

Infantile response to an infantile question? |

I'm guessing they'd probably say, "Hi, like your profile, let's chat".....
If it's a case of you're being ignored after messaging someone then it's a sure sign they don't want to? It's kind of a vague post tbh and you haven't put it in context xx |

Infantile response to an infantile question?"
If the question is so infantile, why waste your time responding to it? Unless you simply derive pleasure from putting people down? |

I'm filling time until I'm sleepy, so no wastage. |

Yes it was, I apologise for that. I'm thinking in terms of a club or party, I prefer not to waste people's time by just walking up to everyone I see. |

Eye contact or a willingness from someone to approach in that case, but good luck on that as that's Hollywood stuff! Advice would be if you show confidence and approach and say hi and you're given the cold shoulder then take it on the chin, at some point you'll have someone's attention if you're pleasant xx |

I tend to find in a club that if I would like to talk to someone saying hello and introducing myself is s fairly sound tactic; if people are polite in the approach the worst that can happen is an equally polite rebuff. On the whole, clubs are very chatty places and so far this somewhat unsophisticated method has worked for me. (I got past the staring awkwardly at someone across the dance floor and getting someone else to deliver the message 'my mate fancies you' a wee while ago). Hope you find a way that workd got you OP. |

In a club or party situation, or indeed out in " the real world" you wouldn't approach everyone, as you say, so just approach people that you want to talk to and strike up conversation. You just need to be polite and maybe have a thick skin....however, if people aren't polite back to you they probably aren't worth talking to anyway. Good luck OP. |

"... if someone would like you to speak to them?"
Without sounding daft, what do you usually do outside of fab, if you need or want to speak to someone? I'd say basic body language and an understanding of flirting is required, just be comfortable in your own skin, say hello and introduce yourself and if there's attraction then see where it takes you? You've got several verifications so I'm sure you know the answer to your own question?
And if you misread something, as long as you're polite it's fine? |
