You can still give blood as a swinger, there are however time restrictions after having sex with a bi or gay male, I believe it is you can't give blood for 12 months after sex, however I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. |

If you have had sexual contact in the last 12 months with a man who had had any sexual contact with another man ever then you cannot give blood.
So basically... if you sleep with male swingers, then you almost certainly cannot give blood. You have no idea who has slept with anyone else. |

Or maybe it's if he's had sexual contact with another man in the last 12 months... I can't remember if they lifted the restriction |

You must not give blood or platelets for at least 12 months after sex (even if you used a condom or other protective) with...
(If you are a woman) a man who has ever had oral or anal sex with another man, even if they used a condom or other protective
A partner who has ever injected, or been injected with, drugs - even a long time ago or only once. This includes body-building drugs and injectable tanning agents
A partner who has, or may have been, sexually active in parts of the world where HIV/ AIDS is very common. This includes most countries in Africa |

Personally, and this is only my personal opinion, you shouldn't be giving blood of your active on the swinging scene.
You know that you are at a much greater risk than somone not on scene
You might think you safe being a hetro swinger but you have no idea if the last partner you had was in a gang bang the previous night with an entire group of people all from the list that would prevent you from donating.
When you play on the scene you accept that you are putting yourself at an increased risk but the person receiving your blood does not deserve to suffer through your actions. |

We haven't started playing yet but I wanted to double check before I go ahead.
I have a donor session booked but I will be cancelling now.
Thanks for you help |

That is very good and level-headed advice
Ultimately we want to give blood to help others, not to cause them harm. And as a woman who has had sex with multiple partners, some of whom I did not know well, I have no idea who they have had sex with and therefore the kind of a risk I now pose |

I give blood 3 times a year....
I go to the GUM clinic 4 times a year.
I tell the GUMS clinic that I give blood.
I tick all the correct boxes on the back of the donor questionnaire. |

I have never had sexual contact with a bi or gay man....obviously never with a straight man....so I continue to donate regularly! |

Next time your donating tell them your a swinger who regularly has sex with multiple partners and you have no idea who they last had sex with but as it's the swinging scene it was likely to be bisexual men.
That's the truth. I'll bet they say thanks, but no thanks.
Getting tested a very few months will do nothing to help someone who gets infected blood that you donated a couple of weeks before your next test.
I know your not a doctor but surely as someone helping others in a medical situation (which you are as a blood donor) the same moral standing applies. First, do no harm. |

I can't see a problem with it.
I know I can't as I took steroids in my cage fighting days. I have had loads of tests and know I'm clear of anything so ant see a problem. |
