First party this weekend and very nervous
Jump to: Newest in thread
Try and relax - everybody else there will also be a wee bit nervous (even the 'old hands'), it's part of the fun!
You will hopefully find everybody is very 'gentle' to you as a newcomer, and nobody is going to expect you to do anything you don't want to.
Don't, however, get as relaxed as a newt - that's never appealing |

they are just like 'normal' parties!! with the added bonus of some excitement thrown in - you do just as much as you feel comfortable doing....maybe play with each other first or flirt with someone you fancy and see where it leads - but never be afraid to say 'no' or 'not for me' if it's not right for you. hope you have a great time xxx |

Go with the flow, don't be eager to get things started, let the regulars make the first moves.
Stand back there is usually an area set aside for nibbles and drinks, linger there and watch what happens. Join in if you are up for it, if not just stand and watch or leave if you feel its not for you.
We have seen a handful of couples decide to leave once action begins, partying is not for everyone, it can be overwhelmin g.
So take it slowly and join in when you are ready. Remember its not a race, you have several hours and maybe ladies to get through (for the guy ) |

Good advice that...but we would always worry that we would stand out like a right pair of plums if everyone was hard at it and naked and we were stood stood in the litchen fully clothed and talking about party food packs from Iceland? |

No need to worry about looking silly. Its everyone else with their clothes off. If you are new, tell people. There is no end to the advice you will get from experienced swingers.
Don't talk about party food. Prepare a few lines about sex or the lifestyle. Just something to start a conversation. Try something like 'How did you get started in swinging?' |
