Talk to the people you are going to meet and establish common ground but first talk to each other and establish your own boundaries. Also tell each other that if either one of you needs to bring proceedings to a halt how you will manage that, some people just say others prefer some sort of code.
Good luck. |

The above advice is worth taking note of!
I wouldn't say there are any fast and hard rules. But most meets I have had generally start with a drink and conversation before anything else happens. Then I go with the flow.

We use a shorted version of our names,eg if my name is Rebecca he calls me Becky rather than the preferred Becks. It doesn't stand out to other people then. X
Good luck. |

Near enough |
I remember the first meet I had at a guys house (I'd actually met him socially the day before) and after an hours drive I got there, knocked on the door and he let me in and asked if I minded making my own cuppa as he just had to run a quick errand, left me on my own in his house for about 10 mins, I made a cuppa he came back apologised profusely and we have always laughed about it since. I saw him for about a year and I always made my own tea
I only meet people I've met before at their house, at least I already know them, sort of. Current FB things are quite comfy, we even watched motd before getting to the bedroom

I'm sure they did. My dog would have had to have waited
