Can't add up.....?

Just been winked by a couple.

According to profile they are 59 and 62.

It also says married for 45 years.....! (When she was 14).

I know the simple thing is ignore/block/move in etc...I have been around enough years to know that, and they are not my type anyway.

All I'm asking is should I report the profile.....would you?

London and France

No: what's the big issue?

Unless it's obviously a fake profile; it's just a mistake I suspect; why get all fussed about it?

Maybe they meant they've been married 4 or 5 years

Probably written by the husband, forgetting the number of years married. Wouldn't be the first time.

South East Midlands NOT

They probably just didn't put their exact birthdays in. A lot of people don't.

"they might have got married that young though? It's legal."

It may have been in Alabama or Arkansas.....but even then only to your cousin lol!. Not at 14 in UK.

As I said...this is just to gauge the modify the forums as I do not think forumites are mean in general...which was what a thread was trying to say yesterday.

So farewelled here seem pretty tolerant and accept it may be a genuine mistake. Even if it isn't then ...let it slide!

They're probably just lying about their ages...and slipped up with the marriage references

It would make me wonder, and probably be a bit suspicious about them. They certainly wouldn't be the first people to have made themselves a few years younger than their real ages. Not sure I could be arsed to report or anything like that.

just googled and yeah since 1929 the legal age for marriage has been 16.

i thought with parents permission you could do it any age.

East Sussex

a classic slip up, people do it all the time. I wouldn't report for that myself but could understand why someone would.

It's the other way round in our house; she forgets when we were married and for how long. I had her convinced her next birthday was her 50th until she worked it out as her 49th

Luton

Possibly they are not originally from the UK and are from a country where marriage at 14 is legal.

Or they made a typo and have been married 35 years, or 40 years.

Maybe they gave their age/birthday +/- a couple of years when they signed up...people do that for a variety of reasons.
