What do you call a sub?

"I'm not crazy about 'bitch' and have heard 'kitten' but what do you call a sub?
I'm not one, but I'm curious. Not sure this is the place to ask.  "
I'm not really sure I understand the question. I will quite often be literally called sub if I have been in downtime and a Dom wants to bring my attention to focus. It will switch me from vanilla to sub mode.
I've had a Dom that would never use my name and only call me sub. Other doms use my scene name or my real name. During play, I could be called his slut, his bitch, his puppy, his slave, his little girl or baby girl or whatever he wants.
I despise being called a bitch. I also despise being called a slut. But my dom can use whatever name be wishes for me. |

We all have our own preferences, it depends on the dynamics too.
The majority of the time I like to be his ’good girl’ but sometimes I'm his naughty girl, sometimes his slut, and other times im terms I'm not willing to share on here.... |

Surely it depends on how *you* want to be addressed? If you enjoy being called (insert your favourite term here) - then that's what your dom should use.
I would have thought that in a D/S scenario - there is no need to be referred to as 'sub' as you both know that is the case.
I guess it might be different if you are both switches...
I rarely (and in 'real' life too) call people by their names unless I want to attract their attention. |

Ha, yup, got a FB who likes to tell me I'm a good slut - in the moment, it works. Outside the moment not so much! He does have Dom tendencies. |

Certainly I may have ideas on how I would like to be addressed but they are irrelevant. It's how my Dom WANTS to address me that matters. |

If you look at 101 names on dom sub life they are quite normal if not a bit sickly..

She does stand up and brings an element of that to the dungeon. If she's only warming me I'm not in so deep so I hear the humour and try hard not to respond to it.
When she's working me hard I only hear her voice and can hear every move she makes so I know exactly where she is.
She uses my name to pull me up a little from my space. Usually to make me count. Then she tells me the last two of the set are for her. 'You know know what that means, don't you Rachael?'
She doesn't hold back on those. She was a male Dom for 15 years prior to becoming a Mistress. She's strong. I'll say nothing more than 'thank you Mistress' when I can catch my breath. |

Depends on the setting. Especially if the relationship extends outside of the bedroom. I had been doing the food shop on Tesco and my Dom called my name, he would instantly get my attention, but if he addresses me as sub, I know regardless of where we are, he has ended downtime and we are about to enter our full D/s mode together. I'd always respond accordingly if I hear sub. Usually with whatever title they require of me such as Sir. I wouldn't call my Dom 'Sir' during downtime unless it was stipulated I should.
In most cases with regular play partners or Doms, there has been a pet name involved and I know hearing that indicates a shift in dynamic from very low protocol to medium protocol or that play is about to commence.
It depends on individuals desires. No right or wrong. |

My alternative fetish name is delorean gray, my sub is lady gray. We don't use vulgar pet names. What animal are you the most fond of? what about animal spirit guides? Might be horse, bird, Fox, etc. And choose a name to suit. Gypsy, polly, red tail, cotton tail etc. |

My Master calls me sub .. some times he will call me a slut he said by calling me this it also stops the feelings but at times when he messages me and things get a bit deep he calls me babe then realises and says sorry sub.. i still don't think it stops the feeling that develop |
