I'm considering changing my profile name again, and I have a few questions:
1) How much does a Profile Name attract you or put you off a profile
&
2) What do you think I could change my Profile Name to that might help attract some interest?
Many thanks |

I'm not sure what new name you could use. But certain names put me off. Vulgar names that imply the guy has no respect for women.
I think your username is fine as it is to be honest. |

I do !like play on words usernames, some make me laugh and are very clever.
But I can be definetly put of by usernames as well and turned people down things like "bemylittlespunkbucket" or such like |

"Why would you want to change it?
I thought perhaps I could improve my 'hits' with a more interesting name? " a name wouldn't attract me in itself, butnif overlooked down whose looked at me and see what I think isma really good name I will click on the profile out of interest.
Nothing wrong with the one you've got its harmless enough |

I think the only effect of a username is the negative one created by a repulsive sexually graphic one,
Otherwise I cannot see that it has any bearing at all. |

Depends on what you have to offer and what impression you are trying to create. I agree that vulgar ones are off putting. Choose a name that truly reflects you. If you create a false impression you'll only come unstuck when you meet for real. Humour, intelligence, mystery works for me. |

Our user name is a combination of our names... Hooray for originality!
On a more serious note username doesn't really do much for us unless it was especially vulgar and all that would get you is ignored!

Precisely the point I made earlier.
Adopting a new username is hardly likely to increase interest at all.
The profile is far more important. |

Sometimes a name gives you an incict into the person behind the profile if its arrogant like "godsgift"then I tend to avoid. Some do tend to lie to when referring to size |

Agree with the vulgar or arrogant names being a turn off. Humble, descriptive or funny works for us.
We didn't want ours to give anything away about who we really were (paranoid phase) so we picked the first thing we could see out the window and went with that |

I'm guessing now it wasn't intentional but I got the image that you guys enjoyed doing stuff outside from your name
Love your profile btw

I have been told that I should change my user name but all I've come up with is to add
With skills on the end
But that seems conceited lol

An interesting question. Technically it's just one or more words so it isn't really you BUT it is the first thing peeps see on this and other sites. It's also your "corporate" name if you wish, something which you advertise yourself under, so getting it right is, we think, important. Ours and our "scene names" say where we are, we're a couple and what we are. Simple.
But chopping and changing? More likely to have the negative effect of appearing to create a "smoke screen" so, if you do change, get it right and keep it?
We agree with other comments on here too. If a name is grossly in your face then likely we'll decide not to look at a profile by that alone . . . and those that can't even be bothered to put any effort in it? Well, they're not likely to huge social skills. |
