I'm always polite in my messages but it seems to get me know where I've spoken to a very nice couple who said I was to polite and I should be more straightforward thoughts on this would be helpful |

Just keep plugging away, don't lower your own standards just to try and be something you think will appeal to others. If they don't like you the way you are, they aren't worth bothering with.

Be more straightforward when the people you wish to meet seem up for it .
We certainly can't be bothered with making idle chit chat on here ..

Yeah dirty messages seem to get deleted aswell I don't mind people not being interested but they don't even look at my profile what's the point in taking time to write one |

It's interesting that the opposite of polite here is seen as being "straightforward" not rude...
Maybe you're not getting to the point when you chat to people, and it's not really a question of politeness at all.
