I'm guessing you mean your hood rather than your actual clit? You won't find many places who'll pierce your clit!
If you go somewhere professional it should be minimally embarrassing and minimally painful. Never had mine done but had another in that area, wasn't a walk in the park but wasn't unbearable  |

Well, it can 'hunt' with or without the piercing 
I have never had anything like this done but I would imagine that it hurts more than having ones ears pierced
I have also heard that with FGM in the news, most will not now do anything to do with the clitoris |

It doesn't hurt as much as your ears. HCH is mainly for show, VCH will rub directly on so can enhance pleasure. There is the whole issue about FGM so do some Google research. Also do research on piercers and go visit them to ask questions -that's what I did |

Check out my piercing, its labia and that can still be done although mine was done 5 years ago. Mine is just one hole and ball closure ring but I entwine two other rings to it so it dangles and I can feel it when move.
It hurts for a second to be pierced but labia piercings heal quickly as you can keep the area so clean. |

Mrs here. I had a vch done earlier this year. It's not embarrassing to get it done by a professional piercer, it hurts for a couple of seconds when you have it done but that's all. It heals really quickly too. I found it didn't enhance sensation at all, neither did it reduce sensation. It tended to get in the way when recieving oral, so took it out after a few months. Visually it's very appealing. |

Further to all the other posts I had to go to my local piercing studio today as my ball closure ring came out whilst I was washing in the shower. Its never done that before and been in for few years....anyway I asked piercer and he said they definitely can still do clit hood piercings. They do have to be very careful with regard to age and try to make sure its definitely what the female wants for herself. |

Had VCH done in August, not embarrassing, few seconds of pain. Couldn't have oral for three weeks. When I did I felt gutted as although I'm usually a multi cum kinda gal I could only have the one. I had mine done a year or so ago and the piercer was totally professional. She didn't even bat an eyelid when C and a girlfriend of ours wanted to come and watch it done
But as others have said, one second sharp scratch, then a little uncomfortableness as she put the bar through but that was it. And it did enhance sensation for me. |

Both vertical and horizontal done here. Horizontal hurt as the piercer needed to get it level around the vertical bar.
