There was an earlier thread about how explicit they should be but this is a different issue and I'd like to know if it's just me who finds this.I often find them to often be sooo enthusiastic and complimentary that when I actually meet the person, I feel a bit let down when they're not that amazing!
Guess it's all subjective really, but I'd love to know what other people think about this...

I read verifications to see if the person is genuine I scan over detail.
Obviously different people are going to have different experiences, what I might find amazing and kinky you might find dull and boring, you may not connect, its not to say that person wasn't telling the truth but they are talking about their own experiences with that person |

I always take veris with a pinch of salt and recommend others do the same!
Let's face it - people choose which veris they display - so they're hardly likely to display any that don't show them in a good light!
I've seen people who were homely at best described as stunning - and people riddled with fat and cellulite described as having stunning/hot bodies!
I find it amusing tbh - but feel sorry for the people who meet them and expect someone far hotter than they actually get! Xx |

I've not noticed that effect but don't tend to put much weight to the veri details, as long as the users are reliable.
Starve someone of good sex and the next meet will be the best thing since sliced bread. |

Verifications are notches they have no place in the real world ,they give an indication only that that person will be ok to meet ,nothing is real until you meet ,text messages are ambiguous and can easily be misread and interpretted ,a persons personality cannot be judged on text messages,some people have a good command of the English language and I would think that most people find that they meet someone very different from their messages  |

Couples think that each of them are the best thing since sliced bread. Are they? I guess they are to each other
Verifications are similar. The two people who had a good time, say that about each other. They may not have a good time with another, or may not even want to meet the person reading their verification |

I have been embarrassed by my veris before. I would like a bad one once just so I could display it so people don't think I hide those ones.
The flip side of the high expectations that my veris create, is that I try very very hard to live up to them 
But if I didn't, I would def display a truthful negative one.  |

I'm with you on this one. I know it will 've different for everyone but when they have say 10 women singing their praises I think yay..... So often im severely disappointed x |

They're intended to show the person is a real person, is reliable and actually more likely to turn up, (though I realise it's no guarantee they will)
Several verifications that mention more or less the same attributes of character, rather than "performance" tend to confirm the overall impression of the person.
Not foolproof of course, but helpful in building up a picture. |

Veris are subjective. Someone I met was described as a fantastic kisser and he was the worst I've ever had. |

Any hyperbole regarding appearance or sexual performance should be ignored.
A straightforward down to earth description of character and attitude should paint the necessary picture, especially if that is consistent across all of a person's veris. |

Does make you wonder why, we often feel they are just trying to secure that future meet.
It's like when people email and compliment on your photos, often wonder if they are looking at someone else's and have got mixed up! |

Totally agree if a verification is over the top its just putting the person who the verification is about on impossibly high pedestal that they obviously can not live up to on every meet or with everyone they meet.
A verification in my eyes should be no more that a yes they are who they say the are yes they turn up to meets and yes they delivered on what was promised in the lead up to the meet. |

I really don't get why so many people get worked up about what they consider a veri should or shouldn't be .
As with our profiles , our preferences , our likes and dislikes - each to their own .
Don't like them ?
Don't display them .
Think they are bullshit ?
Pay no heed to them .
Find the graphic ones distasteful ?
Don't read them then .

The alternative is clubs, which I go to also. I put even greater effort in trying to look nice, travel for miles and then ...
... most times, there is nobody who I can fancy or who fancies me
I used to go to these places by myself by now I rarely do. I either go with someone I already know so can have some fun with him if there is nobody else I want to with or go with a girlfriend; atleast then we can bitch and moan together |

Hold on my comment was more tongue in cheek than meant away of catching her eye .
I knew she would respond so it served its purpose if you follow the forums she is one of the more laid back level headed ones on here so it was a good call by me she would respond .
Everything after she responded is just nit picking in my book .
Blame me for trying to engage her in a forum post effectively detailing the post not her or her original post. |

for me it has nothing to do with the content of verifications on a persons profile, but the quantity of them....yes I know it is a good indication that a person is obviously genuine and actively meeting, but too many usually puts me off
