Reporting No shows
Jump to: Newest in thread
Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports. Hope this helps.
"
******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).
Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.
Admin
PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.
Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:
Your feedback has been saved.
A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.
By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.******

What has a no show got to do with the site? How can they be responsible for peoples actions away from here? It's not like a shop or service etc where you can complain if the goods aren't up to scratch. Is it? |

You can report no shows. It's not good for the site if people lead others on and never turn up. |

What about the ones who say they are 40 and turn out to be 50? What about the ones who say they are 6 foot and turn out to be 5? What about the ones who have promised sex but don't deliver? Etc etc etc. Should they all be 'reported'? No shows will always happen but people should maybe be a bit more selective or vigilant about who they are arranging to meet and take more responsibility for their own actions and choices instead of expecting the site to do it for them. Its a bit like running to teacher and telling tales |

How does the site police it though? Anyone could say anyone else is a "no show", how would the site know other than looking at people's private emails on here?
Even if they look at private email exchanges, what's to say the meet was arranged on kik or by mobile phone, or completely made up by the accuser? It just seems unpoliceable to me. |

I think if a system was in place to punish no shows it would be open to abuse.
For example if a guy gets rejected or vice versa than the other person could report it as a no show and get them banned.
It happened to me loads when I had a craiglist ad up and I said no. Some people reported it as being a scam |

"it will be abused......oh they wont meet me ill report them as a no show....see just as simple as that" you don't actually achieve anything though ,you just have to rack it up as a bad choice and move on ,the site won't do anything about it |

I think that no shows should be openly discussed in forum and the transgressors can then come forward to explain, defend, apologise, whatever. Most of the time, if its a genuine no show and it is discussed, i suspect they will just delete profile and scuttle off to create another one for a new round of cock teasing to begin. |

I think that's a ridiculously terrible idea. |

Because what if I were to say you were a comet timewaster and didn't show up to meet me when it had been arranged?
No-one else knows we've never spoken. It's open to so much abuse it would be beyond ridiculous. |

I guess it depends on what you mean as a "no show."
I turned up for a meet the other week.... punctual, fresh, keen and horny.
The house was a filthy squalid mess with cat poo everywhere.
The girl looked nothing like her pictures and had half her teeth missing.
I ran away as fast as my little legs would carry me!
Technically I suppose I was a timewaster and a no show.......
But in reality it cost me half a day for a disappointment! |

Well i guess any message exchanges would be available as support evidence plus any records of txt messages, calls etc..admin could review individual mailboxes... Its not something i could be arsed with . I would just maybe mention it and thats it,done.. |

If someone doesn't show up, so what? You know that they are a time-waster, just don't contact them again. It's that simple.
You win some, you lose some - that's life. I see no point in complaining. It's all chance at the end of the day.
But having said all that, they may have a genuine reason for not turning up. Sure, it's polite to let people know in advance, if that's the case, but then, it might not always be possible.
I've come across one or two time-wasters on here. It happens. I just don't contact them again.

Quite right,,I mean,,its isnt John Lewis,,you cant expect fab customer service with a smile and a compliants counter for breach of contract if they dont deliver. I have met some women who are clearly spooned in the head and have walked..not that desperate.
