We are thinking of going to a local swingers club but worried we might come across people we know and things become awkward has anyone come across this

Attend one further afield then, reduce the risk of bumping into your neighbours

Brighton - even Hove!

If you met someone you knew, you could just say that you're looking. They would be there too, after all.

To be honest if you did they'd be there exactly for the same reason that you are - a fun time!!!

St Albans

The chances of that happening are small in reality and even if you did you'd at least have a conversation starter

Just a thought about going further afield.

Most people will think the same and not want to go close to home so it could be the safest place to go if you don't want to see people you might know.

Or take the view that they are there for exactly the same reason you are so at least you will see a friendly face.

Our first night at a club on Friday going to VA so know how you feel.

We think about the same thing. The issue I have isn't with seeing another couple I know, but more a single lad that knows us that might start blabbing off to everyone or might automatically think the Mrs is up for action next time the sees her. If that makes sense

Well if it makes you feel comfortable go further a field, but we bumped into people we know 100 miles from home also been with friends who bumped into their cousin at a club. The main thing to realise is that you are all there for the same reason and as much as you don't want people to know I'm sure they feel the same

You will probably find that other people locally will think the same as you so will stay away. If you ventured further afield you're more than likely bump into someone you know. Only one way to find out and just go along to your nearest. Ive been going to my nearest since beginning of August every other weekend and haven't seen one person I already knew

this makes total sense. I live near Townhouse and know a lot of single guys who arnt discreet. I drive to further afield to minimise the risk

GOSPORT

We were worried about the same thing so attended a club further afield, then we figured that's what others may do so just as much of a chance we'd meet people we know there! And we figured everyone at a local meet would be there for the same reason so bit the bullet and went to a local meet, it was great and we will be going again very soon! We've seen pics of people we know on here (not from swinging) but would never say anything- at the end of the day we are all adults doing what we want and enjoying life.

My Own Little World

Well you have Mingles @Colchester which is about 1.30 hrs away, have never been but have heard it is nice. Or Chams is one of my favourites, 1.45 from St. Neots, they have rooms if you need to stay over.
