I am looking at getting a vertical clit hood piercing, I'm looking online a lot into it and went to a parlour to discuss,
A friend is insisting that all piercing pierce the actual clit (apart from ones on the side and other places obviously) but ones that are based around the clitoral area. My belief is/was clitoral hood piercings are above the clit running along the top for a vch but don't actually go into the flesh of the clit itself but rub the top with pressure - she's worrying me because I don't think I want an actual clit piercing as such just the hood?..
Presumably with time, patience and cleanliness it heels well and feels nice rather than rubbing and make you sore?..
Anyone have any experience of having one and how did it go? I know some go badly wrong as they can with all things but some must go well as people still get them..
Any help is appreciated, thank you x |

If you find a studio prepared to perform a full clitoral piercing I would check check and check again that they know what they are doing! The 'usual' piercing is just the hood (vertically or horizontally). Piercing the actual clitoris has the potential to either lead to complete loss of sensation or (rarely!) making it so overly sensitive as to make normal day to day activity uncomfortable. The majority of good studios will not entertain either risk.
Healing wise the hood heals very quickly usually within a week or two. I had mine 24 years ago and have never looked back.
I wear a ball closure ring which I find most comfortable but is tricky to change without help.
As with any other metal jewellery, it has to be removed prior to any operation and I would suggest using a nylon retaining bar as the Piercing itself will close within a few days, yes even after 24 years! |

Dangerous?! Crikey that's harsh!!
I agree, I too think actual clitoral piercing is quite possibly 'illegal' by now but I fail to see how hair would make any difference?
Do they insist on a shaven head to pierce ears? |

It's a VCH piercing you're after. I have that and my outer labia done. Clit hood healed within a few days, heightens sensation and looks cute. The labia hurt like hell for weeks but I'm happy with them now. |

"Hair would probably end up wrapping round it and getting tangled around the bar or ring. Could potentially cause it to rip out."
Like it does with earrings you mean?
My piercing was done long before it became kinky or popular and therefore also long before the American pornstar, pre pubescent, zero hair down there look became fashion..... hair most definitely did not and would not become entangled and rip it out. |

Earrings are far easier to take out and unwrap any unwanted hair though than a vch and pubes. Think about it. I know someone it's actually happened to and since the incident she started shaving as it scared the fuck out of her. I've heard all kinds of horror stories when discussing vch's being ripped out in various ways with people on here. Someone's got ripped out by a body puff. Even the thought of that makes my toes curl. |

Your friend surely had no need to shave once it had been ripped out?
By that logic ALL piercings are potentially a risk, there are far more likely places to have a piercing ripped from.
Horror stories are just that. Stories.
the reason I had initially picked up on your comment was your seemingly sneering remark on seeing a natural thatch of public hair.
Each to their own and without judgement. |

Thanks to new FGM laws you might find it difficult to find a piercer who will pierce your genitals.
You can get your clit pierced, but vast majority go for the hood, much safer.
Heels pretty quick, like oral piercings, but pain varies person to person, I found it agonising, others have not.
I'd say it's predominantly a myth that it increases sexual pleasure - it might, but for a lucky few. For me, nothing new.
I opted for a ring, curved bars can flip backwards and catch on pants.
Hair isn't a problem at all.
Always talk to your piercer, and find a reputable piercer too. |

"The stories are not just stories at all as I sat in on a discussion between piercers from the States and they all knew of women who had indeed lost sensatation. is that really worth the risk?
L2"
To start off, a lot of young women find their clitoris too sensitive to be touched directly. Sensitivity changes over time. I've lost more sensation from the use of vibrators than from my jewellery, but it doesn't mean it isn't sensitive or pleasurable. |

The skin there is a lot more delicate and stretchy than the ears. You do have to watch that it doesn't catch on stuff.
Heals really fast though if you look after it.
.
I wanted VCH, but my "anatomy" wasn't quite right, so I had a HCH instead. Had it for about 8 years before I had to take it out for an MRI and couldn't get it back in after.
FYI. if you can get the whole cotton bit of a cotton bud under the hood, then a VCH is fine, if it won't fit, then there's not enough skin to do it (and that's why I had HCH).
.
Tell you what, it's great for getting guys to hit the right spot. They can't miss and won't need a map. Just watch out for a pierced tongue. Once got a tongue barbell hooked through the ring I had down there |

I work in a tattoo and piercing studio for a living. Hair or no hair doesn't matter when it comes to piercings. Tattoos is a different matter.
What you want is a VCH piercing (vertical clit hood piercing) the skin that acts like a little hood over the clit is what is pierced not the actual clit! |

I was meaning more for afterwards not at the time of the piercing. I'm a piercer, read you're a trainee tattooist that's cool. Your ink is lush x |

"Plus looking at your pics, with that amount of hair anything would be pretty dangerous
It is 1 big bush lol "
Why do you feel the need to comment on her pubic hair?
It's just downright rude and unnecessary.

Went with a friend to get hers done today. Asked the piercer about mine and ended up with some new jewellery! Turns out the hole never really healed up, just needed a bit of expert persuasion.
So now back in the pierced club! |

Omg never realised you could lose sensation from using vibrator. Not happened to me yet lol.
Have a vch looks pretty. Love it played with. Doesn't increase sensitivity to me. Healed quickly. Pleased I had it done |
