Frustrated with blocking

I keep blocking someone from my solo account and my couples account but every couple of weeks, he sets up a new profile. Then messages again, and I have to reblock. This has been going on for best part of a year. It's really doing my head in. I've tried not blocking but ignoring, I've tried replying. No combination works.

This is someone I've previously played with and then told them I have no interest in communicating with them further. They've worked out who my best friend is and now do the same to her. Messaging her I think, in hope of me reacting. So she ignores or block. Then he messages off a new profile.

I thought he would have been bored by now.

Just having a moan.

Have you reported it to admin. If he's repeatedly creating accounts and harassing you they could possibly block his I.P. address from the site.

Contact admin they might be able to help. Ignoring works best. Eventually. x

He isn't being offensive so I didn't think contacting admin would do anything but advise to ignore and block. If (when) he contacts me again from a new account, I'll contact admin. Thanks.

Use your filters to block newbies as well. Might help.

he was enamored with you then you must have met him quite a few times or have been really off with him for him to be that persistent, can I ask you I looked at your pics and I really find pics wearing gas masks a little disturbing instantly puts me off anyone ,what is the fascination of masks that completely hide your face and also must be very chlostrephobic?

I've had the same thing except messages turning to abuse. He always deletes account and comes back with the same name to harrass me. I wish I could have a permanent block on that userneme!

I always report and block but it leaves a nasty taste in my mouth

That only works for a few days though, not sure exactly how many, then the profile is no longer classed as a new one and he'll be able to message then. I'd suggest blocking anyone who's unverified, or who's a site supporter. Hope you get this sorted out, there's no place for morons like that on fab.

The constant stalking is a form of abuse in itself so admin may do something? Would be best if admin could block his ip address?

Turn it around in your head. He must find you very appealing indeed to go to such lengths. Think of it as compliments but he doesn't know how to use the correct words. Don't read the words when he mails. Just report and block and feel calm. Try not to let it bother you. A sort of grey haze of apathy. Then do something you do like to replace the crappy feeling.

Same for the OP and anyone going through similar. X

Maybe do as BumbleB suggests and change your settings to block unverified users ?

Although to be honest you should not have to be going to those lengths , I would just report again to admin

The mask is just one piece of kit I play with now and then. For sensory deprivation and yes it can be claustrophobic.

I met him twice. Over a year ago. Then remained amicable. Without going into ins and outs. There was no argument, no insults, just disinterest. Then expression of annoyance of him persistently messaging or contacting my friends. That's it.

It's harassment and you shouldn't have to put up with it in any shape or form. Admin should take it seriously and actually do something about it rather than expect you to put up with it. As they'll always be arseholes on site such as this something should already be in place to deal with it. A shrug of the shoulders and there's nothing we can do isn't good enough.

Faerie queen you have had lots of fantastic advice. Set up your filters. Make all your photos private or friends only .

Definitely report to admin. Although if he's messaging from a mobile app the. Blocking the IP address won't work.

Finally if he's mentioning family then you might want to take it to the police. That can be very effective .

Best of luck

Xx

If he's mentioning things about your family then, to me, that's more than just annoying. I have once had to get the police involved because the wife of a couple went a bit nuts. They were much more helpful than I thought they'd be. They offered to just ring her and warn her off initially rather than logging a full on case and that seemed to work as I've never heard from her since... Might be worth considering if he won't go away and is upsetting you.

Think if it was just grief towards me I'd have ignored till she gave up, but involving my family is another story

The problem I have is when I introduce myself and show an interest. Some people block me straight away, it disrespectful a pm not interested or fuck off would be enough to lose interest in a profile I'm here like the rest of us, if people just block you there should be a genuine reason and if the person blocks a person a second Time it should goto a jury then if that person has been a nuisance well then ban them

I too had this problem on fab... And when I wouldn't put up with his abuse he would contact my friends and start on them...

Unfortunately he work(ed) in the village I live and saw me return home one day... That was the second stage of stalking... I live in a cottage in an old boatyard... Over a period of weeks I would open my front door to bunches of flowers laying on my steps... What creeped me out was the thought of him being right outside my house without me knowing...

It came to a head when he contacted me saying I thought you weren't meeting anyone... He was sitting down the end of my road watching to see if I had visitors... (a mate was round) That was enough and I contacted the police...

All very scarey when you are a single woman living on your own... and not something you sign up for when you join fab !!!

I've had a couple of guys i've met do this, i kept reporting the profiles because they aren't allowed to use new profiles to get around a previous block.

One of them even made a fake profile and i ended up chatting to him on and off for a while not realising who he really was until he sent me his face pic and i freaked out and only blocked and reported him. But the last time he messaged me i just told him outright i wasn't interested in him and don't want him to contact me again, then blocked him and reported him. Not heard from him since. I didn't need to make any threats or anything, just was clear about not wanting him to contact me.

The other one's a bit more sneaky and does freak me out more but doesn't do it as often, last time i just blocked him in a panic by accident, i'm gonna try to remember to tell him not to contact me again next time but tbh i already told him this the first couple of times and he's not that bothered. It's not every couple of weeks though so idk, i'd probably ask the police to get involved if it was. That seems a bit excessive, especially the contacting your friends as well.

Sorry to hear some people have had really unpleasant things happen. I'm not surprised others have involved the police, and rightly so.

My situation is nothing more than an annoyance. The person I've mentioned is behaving rather desperately but hasn't said anything untoward or made contact outside of fab.

I don't think they contact your friends to get to you though. Many guys on here will fuck anyone they can contact. My sister has joined and half the guys i've fucked have messaged her so we can 'compare notes', or even asked me to recommend them to her ffs...

Plenty of people are desperate for sex on here, and they're manipulative when they want it. So long as you've warned your mate about him she should be ok. You could always go to the police together if you wanna see if anything can be done about him. He needs a reality check.

I read this as two different sentences = 1. Is a strategy that may help - to block certain categories. 2. Is a comment on the whole situation, it is terrible and he is a moron and should not be here. There was no link between the two thoughts - if there was, there would be a ; in between the sentences and that would in itself imply the link between unverified, site supporters and moons - the post does not do this.

My own stalking incident stopped abruptly when I told the guy to fuck off - texting me at a parents evening at my son's school freaked me out. He was one of the teachers there and was sitting at the next table. I knew about his job when I was meeting him and it was okay when it was okay, but when I stopped meeting him, he persisted too much and it began to creep me out as he had moved close and is in my neighbourhood now. Thankfully all has gone quiet now.

and i wasnt havin a dig, i was saving you the hassle of people wondering why you are recommending blocking people who are unverified seeing most people on here are unverified including you. Its a bit of an extreme and totally deflected response to the situation explained in the thread. The man in question could be a verified user or better still a site supporter, maybe rephrase your post hun

Seems clear to me as an impartial observer. She was describing stalkers as morons.

She mentioned a way to avoid them was to block certain sections of the site from contacting you. Then she started a new sentence and called the subject of her post (the stalkers) morons.

This is not hard. Perhaps people look too hard for a reason to get upset on this forum.

? Im sorry cutie pie, I wasnt insulting yo tho., i was only repeating what you said

No, you weren't. You read my post and seen something totally different to what I posted. Try reading posts properly before you go off the deep end.

and i wasnt havin a dig, i was saving you the hassle of people wondering why you are recommending blocking people who are unverified seeing most people on here are unverified including you. Its a bit of an extreme and totally deflected response to the situation explained in the thread. The man in question could be a verified user or better still a site supporter, maybe rephrase your post hun"

I am verified, the green tick on my profile indicates that, I just choose not to display them.

Drinking and LawandOrder, thank you, it's refreshing to see there are still some intelligent people here who know how to interpret posts in the matter in which they were intended and typed.

Aka, I am not your hun, nor am I a hun (it's often classed as a derogatory term here in Scotland), so please refrain from addressing me in such manner.

To the OP, sorry someone has felt it necessary to hijack your post, and I sincerely hope Admin do something about this moron.

"He isn't being offensive so I didn't think contacting admin would do anything but advise to ignore and block. If (when) he contacts me again from a new account, I'll contact admin. Thanks.

Use your filters to block newbies as well. Might help.

That only works for a few days though, not sure exactly how many, then the profile is no longer classed as a new one and he'll be able to message then. I'd suggest blocking anyone who's unverified, or who's a site supporter. Hope you get this sorted out, there's no place for morons like that on fab.

there hun, this is the post i was referrin to. Check the last 4 lines

Seems clear to me as an impartial observer. She was describing stalkers as morons.

She mentioned a way to avoid them was to block certain sections of the site from contacting you. Then she started a new sentence and called the subject of her post (the stalkers) morons.

This is not hard. Perhaps people look too hard for a reason to get upset on this forum.

tell me about it, better still perhaps people look to start chaos out of order. You of all people should know what im talkin about init"

I thought the full stop after supporter made it pretty clear the comments were about two different groups of people.

lol, gd to know you not my hun.. im glad by the way. Anyway the point i was trying to put across is ..... what has being unverified got to do with the annoying personality described in the thread ? The guy could be a verified user for all you know. There is no correlation between unverified users and the character described in the thread is there ? It is a big slam on unverified user as it puts them in an awkward state .

Be polite you and less of the grumpiness, i wasnt tryin to hijack the post, just pointing out the flaw in your comment.

truth be told, there's nothing wrong in pointing out the fact that unverified people are not usually the baddies in every situation, suggesting blocking unverified people in response to a totally different case scenario is uncalled for. We were all unverified at one point, blocking everyone unverified will not only render the site partly disfunctional, it will make it hard to socialise and meet new potential fuck mates.

you do look very fuckable btw

No one at any point said unverified people were the baddies.

Simply as a potential solution to this particular issue it was suggested that blocking unverified users would mean that this particular individual would not be able to continue to create new profiles and contact the OP.

No more, no less.

You seem singularly unable or unwilling to take this distinction on board.

We have all been unverified and if no one ever spoke to unverified users no one would get anywhere. However that is not what is being spoken about here. A specific fix for a specific problem was given.

Please, please, change the record.

Or even better. Turn the record player off.

Lots of suggestions about verified. He always returns and gets photo verified, then gets previous meets to give him verifications again. He seems to wait a week or two on a new account before messaging me. Then when I block, he comes back a few weeks later.
