I wax my downstairs bits (myself...I am pretty hardcore ) but because of different rates of regrowth only do it every 4-5 weeks.
So...I am silky smooth for about 9 days post waxing, then the dreaded 4/5 days of it being like Velcro when the first regrowth starts. And then a mixture of longer hairs and more stubbly ones until it's all grown out enough to wax again. Once it gets past the Velcro stage I can shave but it's never completely smooth.
Am I missing any tricks here? If you wax what you do in the annoying inbetweeny stage? |

I found it damaged my follicles and led to all sorts of problems.
I have laser hair removal. I still shave before a meet, but the hair is eighty percent finer now, so feels lovely and smooth.
As for my legs, I don't have to shave them for months. It's awesome. Particularly being a dark lady who always had carpet legs!
Well worth the money.

"I am finding it more and more painful. Am totally fed up with the spotty ingrown hair look. Not worth the effort really. Was thinking about laser treatment wonder if that will work. "
Apparently Tend Skin is really good for ingrown hairs. Haven't tried it myself though.
Do you take painkillers before you wax? I definitely recommend doing so!
If I win the lottery/marry a millionaire I'm definitely getting lasered! |

"Hold on sorry, are you saying you shave between waxes?"
Not on a regular basis but sometimes if meeting yeah, because towards the end of the 4/5 weeks most of the hairs are grown back so it's all a bit 70s porno down there
Also I find shaving about a week before it will be time to wax again means the hairs will be at a perfect length for waxing (the longer they are the more it hurts!). |

"Sorry if that sounded very blunt - I'm in a horrible mood! Not your fault.
Trim the hairs when waxing if they're too long.
Qualified waxer speaking btw "
That's ok, no offence taken!

"Okay, that's your problem. Stop shaving and after a few waxes your growth will be much less. Resist!
"
I've been waxing for over 10 years, and regrowth is definitely less than it used to be. But it's just annoying that for 24 ish days out of 35 there is some kind of regrowth there and I was hoping there was some magic solution! |

This is exactly the reason I gave up with waxing loved the silky smooth just waxed feel but hated the regrowth period!
I feel your pain...intimate hair is the bain of my life! I hate the ingrown spotty look and the stubble feel after shaving. I now epilate the top and shave underneath plus use tend skin.
Seriously considering joining the revolution and letting it grow back and just trimming.

A fine exfoliating scrub a couple times a week. This will help with ingrown hairs. I have a wax every 4 weeks but my lady suggested I wait 5 weeks till the next one to help with my ingrown hairs and the stragglers. Lol. Also a steam treatment will help. Hot water in a bowl squat over the bowl with a towel around ur waist. Not sexy but helps. Miss C. Xx |
