I'm thinking of getting my tongue piercing done , anyone had this done or knows someone with one ? Is it painful? Pro's / con's any info is appreciative cheers  |

iv got mine done didn't hurt at all having it done but for a few days after it really really does swell and hurt BUT it goes very quickly i love mine....as for benifits some blokes can feel it and others not during oral but i can feel it when a lady has it done and shes down on me mmmmmmm x |

Pros...
1. Adds a nice sensation for the recipient during oral.
2. Relatively quick to heal.
3. That's it.
Cons...
1. Swelling afterwards can be painful.
2. Awkwardness of long bar in mouth till its healed and can be changed.
3. Slightly affected speech.
4. Bad breath if bar not cleaned proprely and regularly.
5. Tooth enamel damage by playing with bar by sticking tongue out.

I'm not anti piercing in any way as my own tongue is pierced with a 10mm thick bar and I'm an ex piercer. But apart from enhancing oral I can't think of any other pros tbh.
Get it done and see how you like it as with any piercing you can always take it out and let it heal if you don't like it. |

I have had mine pierced twice.
The first time it swelled and was really sore after, I struggled to get it downsized as the original had been done up so tight. 2 years after having it done I got a grain of rice stuck in the hole and i took the bar out to heal properly.
I had it re pierced about 7 years ago and not had any problems since.
When I wear it though i do have a slight lisp and find eating some things quite annoying (chewing gum gets stuck round it etc) but overall Ive never had any complaints about it either. I do always say to guys, if you don't like it I don't mind taking it out. |
