When I am up alongside you're trucks should i be back a little so that you can see through the windscreen or up alongside soIit's the passenger window you see through?

if it's at night, put the interior lights on.
I do it when at traffic lights, or at a standstill in traffic.

Yip, truckers are incapable of looking out of more than the front window. Don't don't do it folks.
I've never been flashed but I do have a sneaky courtesy glance as a car passes. Nice to see a pair of legs on display. Lasts for less than a second. Same length of time it takes looking in my left mirror, which we do waaaay more than any car or bike driver ever does. To be honest, that in itself is probably nicer than any 'flasher'.
Would it distract me if I saw someone flash? Nope. It would make me smile and I'd have a wee chuckle and get on with the road ahead.
Certainly wouldn't lose it and start rubbing my thighs and getting the baby wipes out.

As a class 1 driver and im sure I speak for most other hgv drivers, a brief glimpse of leg or cleavage through the sunroof does brighten up your day and as has been said, it only lasts a second or two, as for distracting the driver I can only speak for myself here, I do not tailgate other vehicles I check my mirrors five or six times almost every minute and always glance right when being overtaken to ensure there is no hazard so the odd glimpse through the sunroof is almost unavoidable.... and welcome. |

Ahh I need to get a car with a sunroof or possibly a convertible.
Thanks for the commen sens answers and I'm sorry if some took it as flashing at rush hour in congested tragic.
Was more the slow overtake on three lane motorways when thers no cars behind me.
So truckers a nice glimps at a nice set of legs on a short skirt with stockings on would brighten up your day??
Ladies maybe happy truck drivers would make for happier driving for all |

I'm sure that all the straight women and gay men who drive trucks will be thrilled with your stereotyping... |

With You on that mate. Some have pipped their horn at me to get my attention to flash some leg or boob but I don't look while driving. It's not worth the risk of wiping a family out in a car. Maybe the ones who want to drive their cars and flash at hgv drivers need a reality check at what they are doing. We go through rigorous periodic training on safe driving and road safety. I just wish car drivers did the same. The roads would be a safer place |

For someone that generally stresses the importance of not labelling anything you seem awfully focused on political correctness, just an observation |

I don't believe in political correctness. I believe in treating people with respect. |

Ha ha I could not agree more. It's funny how your profile has a lot of labels and you seem quite sure of what your expecting and who can and can not get in touch. That's not being open minded is it now?
As for treating people with respect!!
Come on now so you cannot start a sentence with the word ladies in case I offend someone belonging to a certain sexual orientation or has certain beliefs.
And you showed me no respect with your post so I think you failed to keep up your own beliefs. |
