Another question based on some conversations between me and Adam.
I (the female of this couple) am bisexual. I always thought it was a cut and dry thing. I am sexually attracted to both sexes and have acted on that attraction...so, therefore, I am bisexual.
We've been talking, do people classify it in other ways?
1. If a person is attracted to people of the same sex as well the opposite sex, but never engage in sexual activity with the same sex, are they bisexual?
2. If a person only actively plays with the same sex during swinging activities, but would not do so in their vanilla life, are they bisexual?
3. If a person is only on the receiving end of of play with the same gender, but does not reciprocate the play, are they bisexual?
4. If a person only kisses someone of the same sex, are they bisexual?
5. Does stating you are bisexual, even if you really don't have an attraction to both sexes make you bisexual? |

bisexual is a just too broad a term..... these days we have to label ourselves in a more defined way, i am bi but i see it as a am purely attracted to the personality i like mean, sharp tongues, strong opinions and the will to defend them against attack. it doesn't matter if they are male or female. you have to be inspired into a salivating loin stirring lust, if this is brought on by a member of any gender then i would safely assume you are bi, even if you don't act on it |

No. It makes you a liar. Why would anyone state this, but not be it?

If you're only attracted to the opposite gender but not sexually active, you are still straight. So any attraction to both genders makes you bi, even if you don't act on it.
On point 3, that just makes you selfish in bed. |

1 would be bi-curious
2 I think so I just haven't had the opportunity to go past snogs in vanilla world.it doesn't mean I'm not bi when I have during swinging
3 that's more on a selfish level
4 not really its more bicurious and teasing, seen many times to show off teasing the men
5 if I wasn't attracted to some lady's no point calling myself bisexual |

I think the word you're looking for here could be; 'bi-curious' . They haven't acted upon any aforementioned feelings, yet.
Bisexual, means you're up and running, doesn't it? |

Not entirely sure it works like that! People can know they're gay or bi without having ever done something "sexual". |

A 17 year old female virgin who's only attracted to boys is not 'straight-curious'. |

I distinctly remember the moment when, personally, it fell in to place.
I knew I liked women and I knew I liked men but I'd never heard the term bisexual and it was all a bit confusing.
I was 16 or 17 and in WHSmiths of all places. There was magazine on the rack called Wallpaper - a glossy interiors thing.
On the cover was (some suitably plush) bedroom scene with a handsome young man staring at the camera and, on either side were sleeping a (fit) man and a woman.
I remember staring at this for what seemed like and age before thinking:
"That's it, that's what describes me."
A real light bulb moment. |

I posed these questions to my fellow Fabbers in the chat room as I am straight (not sexually attracted to women at all), but have played with women as part of a group of men and women when at Chams. They called me bi-playful |

I think it means someone is in denial. Possibly a bit homophobic because they don't want to admit that they actually enjoy sex (or are attracted to) someone of the same sex. Most likely because many parts of society say it's a bad thing to be attracted to someone of the same sex. |

I'm not a huge fan of labels, but they do help find the people you're looking for. After that, discussion is needed.
And as French Bambi said, you've missed bi selfish off the list. There are more than enough of those.
I much prefer women to men so count myself as nearly queer and a hint of bi |

I've always thought that human sexuality is by its very nature fluid and it's the centuries of right wing propaganda have made us come up with these terms/labels in order to create social minorities. |

I call myself straight. I have licked a pussy and enjoyed it, I don't have sexual thoughts towards women and I don't feel attracted to them. But,I have been offered a very hot woman in a 3 sum with a regular partner of mine and considered doing it. My attraction to women is miniscule compared to men and I wouldn't actively look for a woman. Sometimes I fancy licking a pussy but I never see one that turns me on. I may never touch another woman again in my life. |

Ok so do I class myself as bisexual? I'm attracted to women and have sex with women. But have no emotional connection or desire to have a relationship with a woman. It's just emotionless sex.

It's an odd one isn't it. I love men. I'm not attracted to women at all, in that I don't and never have lusted after other women but have my orientation as bi curious as I will play with another woman in a meet situation if the vibes right. I've never initiated anything with a woman.
Putting bi curious means I'm not obliged to do anything either way. It's the same for my OH. We very much go with the flow |

Me too that's my point, if being bisexual is reliant on attraction then I'm not bi but if it's more a case of actions then I suppose I am at least to a level (or should that be O level?) |

i believe lots of people give themselves labels regarding their sexuality and sexual preferences. in my opinion as a female who went from initially been bi curious to taking the time to have full sexual relations with females. these experiences go from solo meets with fems to ffm to mmff. i define my self as bi sexual which i feel means i love both men and women . i love the sensuality of playing with a female. dont get hung up on labelling yourselves and enjoy the pleasures |

I don't think having sex with somebody defines your sexuality
for example most people will know their sexuality from a young age, I know many gay guys who say they knew from being a child they were gay, so even though they wasn't Sexually active they still knew their sexuality and I should imagine the same goes for heterosexual and bi sexual, you know what you are you don't need others to tell you
so to me what makes you bi sexual is how you feel inside not what acts you do |

I really do feel some people make these stupid comments just to annoy others. Simple facts are people describe their sexuality in the best way possible for them on this site given the choices they are given.
I will always believe bi playful should be an option on here and probably describes a fair amount of the bi curious people on here.

"On point 3. I call this bi-selfish."
Suppose if the partner wants equal both way play then it is selfish
If the partner is top only and doesn't want both way so happy to give but not receive then there is nothing selfish about it, that's called mutual
Everyone sees it differently the only problem is when one person try's to apply his view to others that they are not involved with.
*not in anyway a dig at you personally just my take on your response

Just picked up on this one - I am bisexual because I actually enjoy a mans body sexually as much as I enjoy a women's body sexually, but preferably at same time - but Bi men can be categorised as "dirty old men in a mac lurking in public loos" brigade - how very false - we are just normal people who happen to enjoy male and female forms. Referencing this to a topic elsewhere I quote: A FF liaison is seen as erotic by majority of heterosexual people and degrading by a few - whereas a MM liaison is seen as degrading by the majority but erotic by a few - Jon ; steps off his soap box lol |

Love sex with females and males..my wife has tested her bi side in college.and says shes straight with no interest in furthering her bi side. I identify with liking a males body for the sex only..i am now exploring the whole cd side and who knows where it will lead. Labels confine us but humans are moving forward and realising pleasure is to be had in many ways.. i wonder if this conversation happened in roman times? Orgies galore.. did they just get on with it or it was the same age ol questions and labels ? |
