It goes a long way in my mind. So often a guy from here will manage to laugh me into a meet... While those who are deadly serious really don't seem like fun at all.
I know humour is individual but generally speaking isn't a lightened mood generally more inviting than a sober one?
I got a message earlier asking if I "could take his cock?". I responded by asking why he didn't want it any more. He didn't get it... So I explained how I read the message and used his phrase to try and start a witty conversation about rehoming his cock. He got offensive about him having a home and I got told to stop being a crank!
Bring on the funny guys who know how to have a decent bit of banter... I know you must exist... I see enough of you in the forums.

I have an odd sense of humour. And a guy who gets it and gives as good as he gets can laugh his way into my knickers with ease and panache. Mine does get me in trouble sometimes since I can't resist gentle piss-taking but occasionally misjudge whether or not someone else will take it in the spirit it was intended and feel bad I might have offended them. |

When I used to frequent the chat rooms it was pretty much only because I enjoyed the challenge of standing out from the crowd and making someone sexy laugh. There are some funny guys in there and in the end I think us blokes almost enjoyed each other's company as much as the women just because of the jokes... but the vast majority of guys in there are just directing horndogs without a personality.
On the forums, however, I'm not really convinced that humour works. A lot of people are out to be upset or outraged and so dry humour often fails to work here. Most of the guys who seem successful here for being light hearted make the most awful jokes and puns. Unlike on the chat rooms I don't think a real stonker of a joke can be built up and I don't think dry humour works so much. It's less banter here and more about one liners and innuendos here.... which is fun, don't get me wrong, but its not really side crackingly funny imo
Bloody hell that was a serious post about being humourous lol Oh well... I will make it funny by adding a fart at the end of it...TA DA!! |

I agree with OP about some people lacking even a basic sense of humour.
Personally, I can't understand why people need to be so miserable all the time.
I'm always looking for the funny side of a situation. I love a giggle.
Life's too short not to enjoy and have fun |

"I am frequently complemented on my sense of humour both in chat rooms and at clubs - it gets you a certain distance but a buff body/large penis will often trump it. "
I would disagree...banter, funny, witty and engaging conversation gets further than a buff body/large penis guy who can't hold a conversation for me
But might be different in a club |

Was it a cock pigeon OP? Because many pigeon racing clubs used to have a free recovery service with Amtrack for lost cocks, to get them home back to their owners. A bird in the hand and all that???? |

Anyone who can dress as a sheep and still look hot has a non-flat sense of humour in my book.

Funny you should say that. I was chatting to an absolutely gorgeous woman online who is as miserable as January seaside trip (in the UK). Needless to say playtime is a nogo.
It seems like the more effort someone has put into looking beautiful (lol), the less time they spend on developing a personality.

A sense of humour is a must one of the main things I look at in potential victims.. ..one too many take it the wrong way though so its a good filter for whom I want to meet and whom I will pass on...but cheesy jokes are a wee bit too much..someone as to get me before they get me |

Iron Man is a superhero.
Iron Woman is a command.
What do you do when the dishwasher stops working? Give her a slap.
My ex Gf had a tattoo of a sea shell on her inner thigh, put your ear to it & you can smell the sea.
Last of all...if at first you don't succeed...Try doing it the way your husband told you!

I have a very quirky sense of humour and I'm very straight talking! Most people like it - a few don't. It's entirely up to them - I couldn't change at my age even if I wanted to! |

I would have to agree from what I have seen of you in the forums. Why bend and change for others when most of us like you for how you are. Plus you can't be all things to all people so live and let live.. |

I have never had any sort of action with somebody who I havent made laugh . Its something I enjoy it doesn't matter if its rude or something based on current events or the voices in my head if I think it can raise a smile than ill share. Who wants to have sex with a miserable sod. Not me. It does not count if people laugh when you get naked in front of them . Thats just life kicking you in the squidgies and its best to dress quickly and leave . Or so I have been told. By a friend. Who I never made laugh. |

Hhhmmm interesting thread this...
I agree a sence of humour does go a long way.....
Though in defence of the " perceived" serious fellas.... I,d say don,t be so quick to judge.
In social events or work colleague often the guys who are deemed to heavy... turn out to be those with the best humour...
Also there, s a fine line from being immature and being amusing good company. |

I agree with this completely. I've successfully played in and outside of clubs because I try to engage rather than just wave an average cock about! If a woman can't make me laugh, it's unlikely I'd want to fuck her! |
