I agree with your no quick fix statement. I've tried to sell myself as well as shorter nice "I like the sound of your profile and would like a chat" type messages but to no avail. I know I can't be everyones cuppa tea |

You could try doing a forum search for the numerous threads on the subject.
Such threads now reside in the Introductions section along with those asking for profile advice.

Your current profile pic is like one of those adverts where you spend the whole time wondering "what the fuck is this advertising?" Think about it... if you saw your own profile pic would you want to shag that person? At this point it's more of an advert for getting better lighting or a new door or something. I suppose you need to be you and if things aren't going well you might want to consider more about who you are - as opposed to a mere image you want to broadcast.
Personally I like to see a face so I can see someone's eyes, it's important to me. I also try to understand their body language, how they stand, what feelings their body projects or tries to hide. Confidence or insecurity can sometimes be seen in how someone holds themselves.
Can this be reading tea leaves or projection? Yes, but cultivating your feelings and understanding who you are first might help your end of this interaction. It's action and response - two way communication.

For me personally I would not message you as I hate cock pictures so not only is your profile picture a turn off but also your public pictures. Also all of your verifications on show is a no go for me as you have a fair few. You only need to show a couple to show you are not a fake and time waster. Then if you get chatting to somebody and they want to see more of your veris then that's fair enough. In my opinion to show that many you are trying to boast about it and that is an instant turn off too. That's only my personal opinion though. |
