Hi there, I get quite a few winks but I'm not totally sure how to correctly respond to the person sending the wink. Have wondered for some time now. Any suggestions how to? |

I've had three winks sent to me so far, wrote to all of them, it's a gentle ice breaker (in my opinion)
Still waiting for the ice to break in fairness...... |

it depends whether you are interested in the person sending the wink .
If you are then tell them you are glad they are interested in you , and lean the message towards what you are after .
If you're not interested in them ignore it |

I only message them If i like the look of the person, if not I ignore it! If I like I will either wink back or if I really like the look/have the time I will message.
Title tends to be "thanks for the wink"
I'm fairly short and sweet on the message. Normally just say thanks, had a look at your profile etc do you fancy chatting s bit?
Hope that helps. |

I just wink back, my theory is they like the look of you but first messages are hardly so they want you to be the one who has to do it.
No such luck with me, you like me you can think of something to say |

I see a wink as a testing the waters sort of thing....there is something they like about your profile but they are not too sure about sending an actual message....
it's up to you to read their particulars and if that appeals, you wink back or even message....if it doesn't just ignore it....simples |

Even if I am not interested, I always reply. I put Wink in the title and say thank you but [for whatever polite reason] l am not interested.
If I had contacted someone I would not want to be ignored wink or not. |

I find it can be quite hard for some people to find the right things to say (especially when you read how scathing some can be on here). So if someone plucks up the courage to send a wink I think it's always just nice or polite to message back saying "hi thanks for the wink", makes the sender less cynical about this site and just shows your a nice person. If something starts great if not then hey ho!! |

We don't very often reply to winks but do keep the ones we like the look of so when we're looking to meet someone we can see who has shown an interest in us.
If we wink anyone it's just to show we like the profile and happy to chat.
