Hello,
I'm visiting Leeds next week and wanted to know which bars i can go to dressed as a TV? I'll be alone so a bit apprehensive. Any advice is much appreciated! Or if anyone wants to join me...?
Thank you - Nicole. x |

Tonight it's LFF a big TG event night in Leeds, with 100-200 girlys out. I'm not there myself, as I'm back on shift tomorrow.
Pubs, tonight the bar of the Cosmo hotel. Other nights, Blayd's yard. The pub on the corner opposite the Cosmo and the one across from it are friendly. Fibre and the pubs in the yard up to the Loft club. The smokehouse is friendly and my favourite is the Viaduct.
I've never had any trouble, if anything, it is the opposite. |

I love Lower Briggate, the gay scene in town is so much more relaxed without the fighting you experience in the upper end of town. Definitely go to Queens Court (I have friends behind the bar and they're an amazing team!), New Penny (if for nothing else but new penny wine!), Bridge, Viaduct - all within seconds of each other and all worth a visit...my friends are TV and they go everywhere around town, I love being out with them as they command attention and I don't buy a drink all night but their favourite spots are the ones mentioned. Have fun! |

I see you've also asked for hotels without key access - it depends on budget, you find the cheaper ones (travelodge, Ibis Budget etc) require key card access as they tend to attract people bringing friends in groups back. The better hotels are less keen to lock guests out. Ones I know of without key card access in the centre: Queens, Hilton, Doubletree by Hilton, Park Plaza, Crowne Plaza, Quebecs, Residence 6 (although there is a keen concierge), Malmaison.
Although it is cheap Ibis budget is a nightmare to get friends in! You can't get in the lift without a keycard. One of the best hotels/aparthotels is Roomzzz on Burley Road, not far out of the centre, lovely apartments and reasonably priced |
