No, there's a certain responsibility on you to manage who you add as a friend. Some people add everyone, some only add those they've met or plan to meet. Up to you to decide which people to add. Just remove people from your list or don't add them if they don't fit what you want on your list. They might not follow the same standard as you |

If I messaged someone on my friends list and they didn't reply after reading it I would delete them. Ditto if it was deleted or left unread after a few weeks,I give them a little time to get through their mountains of mail. My idea of a friend is someone who likes talking to me. |

Not at all
People I have on my friends list are those I have met, or would like to meet. If an aeon passes and we don't talk or a meet is looking non existent, I delete them. |
