i tend to get messages daily from fakes and they are easy to spot:
no face pics on the profiles.
If a couple only the lady has pictures, none of them both together
THe profile has not been verified genuine by the site.
no verifications from other members, or if just one, it is not on display
so probably self written using a dummy profile set up for that purpose
and they never want to go on webcam or their cam does not work.
They usually use profiles of white women asking to see black men only and into size. and they are far too open about their sex lives and keep asking quesitons about size and wanting to see pics or you go on cam to show them
So i ask them to take a selfie of them holding a fork if they say no they cant do that they are a fake, and they then block me!

Other signs of fake profiles; can't accommodate but can travel.
In other words in a relationship so can't meet at home, but if I travel to you no one will catch me out.

We don't have public pics of him, they're of me, but we plan to sort that.
We also don't cam as we'd need to organise a time when we're together, then another time to play and we don't have lots of spare time.

I'm not a fake and ok I have a few of the criteria you suggest make people genuine but if anyone made demands of me like that I'd tell them where to go lol

That's not being fake. We don't accommodate as I live alone, and my home is my personal space. We don't want some guy getting d*unk and chancing his arm and turning up on my doorstep. |

That doesn't always match the pics in the profile to the person you talk to - we've had someone talk to us on the phone but for 'reasons' can't send any other pics than what's on their profile already and they can't Facetime - mmmm fake! |

Yes I think you are. We never do phone, cam, kik, uploading dated photos, photos with objects by request, hoop jumping, code words etc. However I can see how anybody would be wary of fakes. |

Ultimately none of these things prove beyond any doubt whatsoever that a profile is fake. For sure they could be seen as indicators, but as other comments in this thread show, there are many reasons why a member manages his/her/their profile in a certain way.
We are all individuals.
Personally I ask for face photos, a full set of cutlery and it MUST be from John Lewis. |

I am quite strict in that phone chat with potential meets is important and if its a couple I ask to speak to both on phone.
If the couple are not prepared to do this yet expect me to give my address out then I will not contemplate a meet.

I tend to do the random photo request thing. It's not a huge thing to ask and if they don't have enough of a sense of humour to do it then I probably wouldn't want to meet them anyway. Me and one guy actually send each other random selfies since our first "Dr Evil" pose - it's fun! |

There will always be fakes all site,s are the same got one photo of Jane on we always talk on the phone first before a meet but still it can be a fake and we get asked how do i no your genuine not a fake.

We always request that anyone we speak to sends us a photo holding a Clarice Cliff Athens shape jug with an early 'Original Bizarre' pattern.
Not only does it out the fakes, it also ensures they have a good eye for art deco antiques. |

We must all be fakes then as no profiles are verified genuine by the site.
The only forms of verification available are Photo verification - which entails a member submitting a photograph of themselves holding a piece of paper with the word 'fabswingers' and their profile name on it, or by verification by other members, either from being seen on webcam or from meeting in person. |

Well if after exchanging a few mails and in the process of arranging a meet and they still won't send facepics apart from the ones on the profiles in glamourous settings or could be clearly off the internet, or won't go on cam (but happy to see me on cam) I tend to think they are fake and ask for them to take a fork pic etc. Also some of them give game away by trying too hard to convince you they are really women by dropping in the conversation they are on their period so not ready for a selfie or webcam or mention their kids are running around etc even at late time!!! Just sounds unreal! They always block me or close their account when they get rumbled! |

Well I keep getting mobbed by people when I go out in those suits asking to be photographed with me or I get in clubs free and get free drinks by the management. It doesn't mean I'm getting bare flings no! So meeting fakes on here is same thing just flirting but nothing happens! Lol |

We had a friendly fan (on a non-swinging pic sharing site) ask to have pics playing with various kitchen items. Cutlery, rolling pin, pans, wooden spoon, all that kind of thing. Turns out that was his kink and was desperate for some lady to help him out! We were on the verge of acquiescing (hell, why not!) when he left the site. Shame!

OP, you may well alienate some genuinely nice people but that's a chance you take.
You will offend the people with their heads up their arses. But don't worry about that- would you really want to meet someone with such a low opinion of you? You are human and worthy of respect the same as anyone.
