meets that get cancelled for no apparent reason

I thought that swinging was for open minded people who had certain objectives that they wished to achieve once the common goals are established and the conversation has flowed between the parties the convention of not responding and not being honest should not cone into the equation. I have found that on a few occasions a woman will be up for the meet you have spoken the fails to acknowlege or communicate with you on the day of the meet. What am i doing wrong?

Sorry, couldn't resist. Seriously - hard to tell what (if anything) you're doing wrong, other than choosing women either badly or unluckily.

Presumably none of them have offered a reason subsequently? In which case, IF a meet was fully set up - report the profile to Admin, then move on to another lady.

Report the profile for what Sharpie?

I've spoken to men where I've had an initial interest but I've not gone onto meet because: they've bugged me the minute I've logged on; I've logged on to find several messages from them; they've been pushy (not a requirement I look for in a sub), unable to arrange a social meet but their verifications show they've had several meets during their "busy" time at work etc.

I'm not saying the OP is "guilty" of any of the above, but people can and do change their mind: Admin can't force people to meet!

And there in your own statement you answer your own question by stating you have a life outside of swinging.

Life sometimes gets in the way of a womans playtime as well. I am sure the majority of people say that everyday life takes priority over swinging.

There are occasions when life just makes tentative social arrangements you may have made completely slip your mind. And I say tentative because unless I have confirmed with someone I am meeting at least a couple of hours before we are due to meet that it is still on then I assume that Life has taken over and that it wont be happening.

There are lots of reasons why people decide not to meet and it is down to personal preference.

O o O oo

We have a deal with any of our meets that right up until the last minute either party can walk away with no questions asked, if they change their mind or we do, that is fine.

If someone didn't answer their mails on the day of the meet to confirm we were still meeting, we would assume they had changed their mind.

Ok people could be honest and just let aperson know they were not going to be meeting after all, but to be honest, we don't need to know a reason, we would just know they are not going to be turning up.

Newcastle and Gateshead

again this is only one side of a conversation or event

like the other threads I think this is unfair to the other parties concerned as we don't know what has happened....

like rugby said... right up until the last minute, whether it is because of cold feet or any other reason, people have the right to cancel......

I say to people don't meet unless you are 110% sure... no means no and stop means stop at any time...

i agree, people have the right to cancel, but i don't see the harm in a little common courtesy. I have a freind on here that has been blown out a few times now with no text or msg to apologise and/or say they can't make it. ( That's single fem meeting single fem, would of thought there would be a bit of solidarity there, but surprisingly not)

Are you sure you were communicating with a woman? Might sound daft, but there have been loads of cases where guys have womens profiles

Failing to show up for an arranged meet. Unless I'm misreading the OP, he is actually getting dates, just not being fulfilled.

Admin said recently that situation can be reported.

Aah, I missed that memo!

Admin must have taken on extra staff, doing their bit for the economy because if the amount of whiney threads that go up daily re "timewasters" are anything to go by ...

It is frustrating when people let you down. We understand that like us, people have lives away from FAB. Life does happen...work, family etc etc.

HOWEVER, It is just plain RUDE not to txt, ring or message just to say, sorry cant make it or Thanks but no Thanks...

We have had guys pester us to death for a meet then on the day...Not a word!

RUDE RUDE RUDE....Mind you, one culpit obviously forgot what he had done and contacted us again for a meet!

Tosser! grrrrrr
