fakers, why do they do it

about 3 days ago we responded to an ad on craigslist supposed to be a woman looking for a couple.
chatted with "her" on msn twice, second time we quite quickly realized "she" was actually HE
what do these people achieve?
do they actually think we won't know what their gender is if we meet? 
the worst part is this happens all the time although we usually figure them out a lot faster.
does anybody know what these guys get from it? |

i was in a club a couple of years ago and 2 blokes were talking next to me ,basically they want to wank while chatting to females or couples but as i know 99% of the females on the site wont chat unless fit and young,,im sure due to the large amount males on site ,so have taken up female profiles to get the chat to have flirty conversations while wanking...may not be true of all but have heard a few more admit it since |

we just think they'd be better of advertising as themselves.
at least then the option of actually meeting someone is open for them if the opportunity arrives but posing as someone else they can't it really just seems sad.
and aside from that it's not fair to the honest women/couples.
have they also ever considered they might even be talking to a guy whose doing the same thing?
sorry we're letting off some steam
the one that we were talking about in our first post above just happened about 2 minutes before we posted.

i can understand,im sure it must happen all to often,some dont want or cant meet for many reasons just get off on chat and photos,pity there isnt a site for that,we could get rid of them,personally thats why its hard to get verified,,,,you have to meet  |

i think there are a lot of gay men who adopt female or couples id's - not just on here.

yeah it's just not to have your time wasted, especially once you've got your hopes up which we are stupid enough to always do.
oh well, live and learn. 
we haven't used this site as much as we do others so we haven't made much contact with anyone her, we were actually hoping this site wouldn't have those guys suppose they go everywhere though. we often find these people on craigslist and we used to get them on gumtree too |

I don't know why they do it, they're dead easy to spot - had a wink off a single lady 2 days ago - doesn't seem legitimate for the obvious reasons, I played along and asked to arrange to meet this week - 'she' can't this week - will let us know! lol - it amuses me! Z |

They do it because it pleases them, some wank, some hope to get pictures on MSN, some hope you will talk dirty on msn, some just like to waste your time and get a kick out of that.
We will NEVER talk sex online, we don't go into what we would like to do, what we have done, what we might do.
We never send pictures online, we have over 80 in our profile if that is not enough another 1000 would make no difference.
We don't use MSN, there is nothing we cannot arrange here.
If in doubt (and we are always sceptical) we ask for a girl to girl telephone chat - and await the excuses |

It's easy to spot them from my perspective. I'm straight, only interested in single men, so when "couples" contact me with a request from the "wife" for me to use a strap on on her husband...come on now! |

We havnt really had a problem with fakes,we did years ago when we started out swinging a couple of times,we learnt from that and ever since we insist on fem/fem chat before a meet is finalised a genuine couple who want to meet isnt going to make excuses not to chat on the phone.
We dont use msn anymore either,we got fed up of people asking for pics all the time,so we arrange our meets on here and ever since we have stopped using msn we have had more meets.

As a single bloke I get them. As one of the earlier posts said, it's when they say something like "I am setting it up as a surprise" or "I do the vetting first". Unless 'they' have advertised as her being very sub...get my drift?
Having said all that I did get approached by a guy who is genuine. He wanted his GF to experience a 3some as she had treated him before. We had great fun.. |

Picture collectors and saddos.
The saddest thing is that once you've been tricked you become very sceptical and risk thinking "too good to be true" and ignoring a wink from a single woman with no face pics on profile. We almost missed a fantastic FFM because of this - so glad we didn't
We can usually, but not always, spot men pretending to be women and as you say it is pretty obvious when you meet in person.
My wife and I are often online at different times - so she may genuinely not be available. I'm sure a lot of people think "time waster" and move on.

yes, it is hard i think a lot of genuine people do miss out because of them.
we send winks just because we don't know what to say at first sometimes so it's sort of like asking permission to send a message when we send a wink, that's what it is for us anyway.
the phonecall one is what we rely on because our computer is in a room we share wit other family members it would be pointless of us to buy a webcam unless we move the computer.
we always figure if they can't talk on the phone then they're fake, granted we can't always talk on the phone right away but we just say we'll talk in the evening we can always do that so it isn't a problem.
but agreed only a faker would completely refuse to phone verify. |

Always ask for phone call before meeting. If its a couple we ask for fem to fem phone call off the others if we get a no we dont meet simply. We only meet @ our local club now so if the meet doesnt turn up the evening isn't wasted still have friend to see & chill with & might still get lucky. All that being said there are more & more fakes timewaster n pic collector popping up not just here but other site it's just how it is just need to be a little Wiser theses days a guess.

we just had another one started from here and then went on to msn with them, they say it's the girl talking them you ask for phonecall verification and it's "I'll tell her when she gets back" i thought you were her?
then ask what street we live on yeah cos dumb enough to share that info without verification right?
neither of us two understand these guys at all. |

Saying that I've also "missed out" on a female potential meet. This girl contacted me in the chat room, had been on the site 2 months, no pictures, no (green flag) photo verification, no (green tick) member verification - and asked to be put on friends list saying she was interested in meeting me.
I told her I never add anyone I don't know and her profile had little to convince me I had been contacted by several guys with similar profile posing as females - I however proposed she updates her profile then lets me know.
She came back a month later, no updated profile, however no had a webcam (pretty girl as well, shame) said she hurt I didn't believe her, as we were reasonable distance (15 mins by train) and she wasn't into meeting loads, just one or two and had spent the first couple of months scrutinising who she was interested in - but had now changed her mind about me based on my "doubting thomas" (her words) attitude.
She however did find "one", updated her profile to "found what I'm looking for - don't need anymore" and left the scene.
Reckon she was looking for a boyfriend? |

you can find that kind of porn online as well though a lot of sites host people's home videos.
we are actually beginning to think, and we might be wrong, they enjoy being hidden.
maybe they are secretly transgender or something but don't want to admit it, neither of us would feel comfortable pretending to be of the opposite gender.
but maybe we're just young and naive or something like that |

I reckon its just a sexual kick. The thrill of the chase the risk of being caught. No intention of meeting. A sort of cyber peeping tom.
I reported a 'girl' who wanted to chat on msn. She told me to put my cam on. And being new and naive i did( fully clothed) she then asked if i wanted her to put her cam on so we could play together. I agreed and was told to click on a link to a webcam site and it was only a dollar a minute!

Just wanted to add that it's not just men who are fakers. Many years ago, when I was quite new to swinging I got friendly with a woman on a another site.
We chatted for months and developed a good rapport, and would often meet in the chatroom and have a private chat.
Eventually the subject matter got round to having scream meet and so, after weeks of negotiations, we arranged to meet up in a public area to test the waters.
Well I felt like a total prat standing there, in a public place waiting for someone who obviously had not intention of turning up. To this day I've had no explanation or apology.
Why do they do it? I think it's that sexual buzz and the thrill of the chase, but sadly some people just don't know when to stop. |

I think this is wrong! Sorry but there's alot more men out there pretending to be females and cpls to lure women and cpls in! There's loads of scope on here for gay/bi men and even more on fabguys to find men with similar interests! Maybe you got a real weirdo or maybe your extremely hot and they can resist you but I'd be more then happy to say I'd expect 99% of fake profiles to be after women and cpls! |
