I think I know the answer before I ask the question but I need to know.
Been chatting to someone and arranged a meeting. All of a sudden, everything has gone, even when the viewed me
Does this mean I've been had ? |

means they have blocked or gone UNLOS.
happens.
might be something you said, might be cold feet, might of had a real life situation, might be a fake.

Annoying isn't it. This and variations of this situation have happened to us now we never expect anything until we are sitting in a bar having a drink with people who look similar to photos we've been sent......even then we check to be sure they aren't holograms  |

They put so much effort into it. Oh well. That opens up the opportunity to visit attic this afternoon/evening for the first time

I think this is a dynamic of meeting people from the Internet...
As a human being you will always err towards the tangible.
Some people are dedicated or are driven by their curiosity and physical needs to meet people...
But most will weigh up the options, with a few deciding, doing nothing, staying in and watching TV is the best choice. |

One of the major reasons I only do spontaneous meets is because I get scared of committing to plans. Things change and I'd prefer to lose out on chances than have to explain myself for cancelling or flaking out. I'm the opposite end of the spectrum, it works for me but infuriates others. |

We had a couple cancel hours before we were due to meet then posted a new veri the next day, a swift blocking sorted that one, another couple we had planned to meet went unlos the week before we had planned to meet, thats life! |

I'm kind of with you on this, I'm capricious and decide on the spot what I want to do, a day or two, fine. A week and i have changed my mind. |

my best meets off here have come after maybe an hour or 3 chatting but some need planning and arranging. it seems like some just string you along and when your let down by those you invited into your home it is taking the piss! it's the main reason i dnt travel!  |

Can I just say that the first part quoted above [the nice part!] is from my post...and the bit after about non verified people is not me!
For the record i don't think if you aren't verified after a year means anything...and I know several people on here who are very very genuine but not interested in veris at all... I know it is maybe best if you are, but not a definite negative reflection if you aren't... |

Happened to me too.
Went a bit far and created a whole other website similar to fab where people earned trust points as well as verifications for meets.
Of course if they arranged and then blocked for no reason they could have mistrust points against them on their profile.
Was quite a nifty site.
Took it down in the end as no one visited.
I didnt mind as I enjoyed making it. Still have all the code somewhere.
Lol.
In the end you just have to chalk it up to experience mate. |
