can anyone advise on a good hotel.. travel lodge or similar around Birmingham Sutton Coldfield areas that allow an early booking in time,, say around 10.30 am thanks

Travelodge's do a noon checking for a tenner extra. Not away of any hotels doing 'day rates' these days

They don't advertise but do day rooms

Why not just book the night before too, then you can turn up as early as you like.
