Been blocked by a couple who contacted me first because I don't display any verifications.
Why is this important?
Have had good meets with people off here we just don't choose to tell everyone about it. |

Well I guess people seek verifications on a profile to indicate, amongst other things, that they are reasonably reliable and at least turned up for those meets...so many don't it seems |

For some people verifications are very important
I don't show mine,I've been refused into parties because I don't
But I'll continue to run my profile how I want to and so should everyone else,if it doesn't suit then that's no problem for me  |

Why not say in your next message to whoever that you fancy that you will display your verifications briefly for them to see, if they ask. Would there be any harm in doing that? Or, you could always move on to the next person who would meet you irrespective of your non-displayed verifications |

But you haven't got any verifications on here, I'm not saying you haven't met anyone but you haven't got any so how can you not show them ? |

You may not, and some people may well regard them as badges of honour, that's up to them, but they're are widely regarded as a way of telling if someone has actually met, and is likelier to show up to a meet. |

Yes and same as me. I don't need to prove I am genuine. I am foto verified which is my tick  |

I 100% agree that it's up to each person whether to show or hide. I like to see them as it helps me know a bit more, but I respect them if they don't choose to show them. I recognise you have to be careful, but I wouldn't block someone on this basis alone. But yet again, it's a permissible choice and doesn't break any rules. |

Wouldn't worry about it, you don't have to do anything you don't want to on here. Some people only want to see veris so they know who is up for fucking in their area and contact them. Some want to see them to know you are genuine, but they'd be happy to see the summary.
You're profile looks like it is only photo verified though, and not meet/webcam verified. |

No, as soon as you're verified you get the green tick. Up to the individual to show them and/or the summary. The green tick is not something the user has the option to show or not unless it has changed since I was last here. |

Maybe they blocked you as you don't have any and saying that you do, they don't know whether to trust you as you would seem to be lying about having them. |

I didn`t tell them anything, they contacted me and I just said thanks for the interest but was not interested in them as they live at the other end of the country.
I do not have any verifications as no one has ever bothered to write any and neither have I.
I have enjoyed all my meets and so have the people I have met as we have had repeat visits.
Jesus I never thought a simple post would kick up such a storm! |

Why all the fuss about them blocking you then if you were not interested in meeting them?
It sounds as if they may well have blocked you simply because there was no interest and they didn't want to contact you again in error... |

Thats not what you said originally though, you said they blocked you because you didn't display your verifications. You would be unable to verify any one as you are unverified |

After the initial reply I got a message off them saying we are blocking you as you have no veris.
It surprised me as I had thanked them for their interest as I always do.
Guess I have been feeling too sensitive.
Sorry if I have offended anyone as it's not my intention.

If you had been upfront and clear about exactly what happened from the outset, there would not have been quite so much doubt and suspicion.
As it is, the thread has elicited some interesting views on the role and value of verifications...which I gather was the question you originally posed. |
