http://www.fabswingers.com/articles/FAQ

Why don't you right-click protect our photos to stop others stealing / saving them?

We believe in being straighforward with the members of Fab. Right click protect doesn't work and gives a false sense of security by pretending to "protect" images. Other sites may pretend they've protected your images but actually they're being dishonest by claiming that.

Right click "protect" can be gotten around in under 2 seconds by any of the following methods:

Simplest: Goto File menu, Save As, and save to desktop = The photos will be in a folder on your desktop that your browser has created.

OR... Disable JavaScript by going to Tools menu, choose Internet Options, Click the Security tab, click Custom Level, scroll to the "Scripting" section of the list and click Disable. Right click can now be used to save images.

OR... Press print screen and the image + page will be copied to clipboard where it can be pasted into a graphics program for resize or save.

We give you three privacy options on your photos and we now hide images from anyone who isn't a member of Fab. If you are worried about someone stealing your photos you may want to set them to be _iewable only by your friends, or private in which case you can send by private mail.

We also now watermark all photos upon upload.

As with anything on the internet... once it is out there, it's out there for good.

thats part of the fun of uploading things, knowing that it may end up being seen by anyone. theres always a way to get the image though if used for malice

While you cannot stop anyone actually stealing them, to use them or reproduce them would be copyright infringement, and you could sue the person who is showing them to others! Only issue here is that you may well then draw more attention to yourself and I am geussing what why to don't want others to be showing them round the pub in the first place!

I really feel for you that is an awfull thing to go through.

To make it harder for idiots to steal my photos i have written our profile name and the site name over our pics, i have also blanked out my face so if people do print them out they cant see the face properly. When i do send a picture of my face to a potential meet it is just a head shot. So if the worst happens as in your case all they have got is a blanked out naked pic or a head shot of me which is nothing to get embaressed about.

You could always tell the person thats flashing them round that you met their mum/dad/granny on here & did them. And you have the pics so you'll bring them in next time you're passing?

Post em on the net & they will always come back to haunt you.

I often get messages like that and I can't help but reply by saying - thanks for your message but I don't understand what it is you are trying to ask me!

OMG I am sounding like my parents!!!

Titz Towers, North Notts

One of my pics was 'borrowed' by another user on here, who had set up a false account. They had bagged my pic and were trying to pass it off as their own. However, they were pretty incompetant and my name was still visible, as well as stupid in displaying it where I could find it. I'm not sure whether to be flattered or annoyed. Either way, the mods bounced them off here.
