...now I fear it is too long.
My profile, why want did anyone think I'd be talking about
Rather than answering the same questions over and over again, I added them to my profile. And added what I was looking for and a little about me.
Would anyone bother reading it all? Or do I need to cut it a bit down a bit?
Any other thoughts?

I just glanced, no I wouldn't read it but it's rare that anyone reads our shorter one .
I honestly think you're usually better off sticking with a paragraph or two and people will ask if they want to know more. |

Self deprecation doesn't come across particularly well in the written form...It may sound incredibly witty and endearing in your head but read it out loud and it just sounds a bit needy to be honest. I didn't get much past the initial paragraph because of it...I'm sure you're lovely though and hope you find what you're looking for, unfortunately I'm not sure many people will get that far to find out if it's them

TBH I quite liked it! I like to be able to get a feel for someone from their profile rather than have to do the Spanish inquisition, so I would keep it as it is, but maybe add a few more teasing pics |

In truth it seems you will never please everyone - we have a fairly long and honest profile but it does explain exactly who we are and what we are looking for.
Many people tell us how much they enjoyed reading it and how useful it is in informing their interest. Plenty of others say it's far too long and they couldn't be bothered to read it.
That said, because we are looking for some fairly particular sorts of friends, we generally tend to think that those who couldn't be bothered to read probably couldn't be bothered with our circumstances either ... so perhaps it actually works quite well.
